Travel
Bangkok Airways operates Bangkok-Samui, Samui-Phuket, Samui-Pattaya (U-Tapao), Samui-Krabi, Samui-Hong Kong and Samui-Singapore flights. From Samui there is a daily flight to Hong Kong and this makes the Island the ideal base from which to visit other popular locations within the Far East. You can book online or through an agent. Thai Airways also have two flights a day from Bangkok to Samui. You also can fly to Surat Thani on the mainland with Air Asia and Nok Air.

Koh Samui island is Thailand's third largest island. It's close to the mainland Surat Thani town. It is rich with natural resources, white sandy beaches, coral reefs and coconut trees.Koh Samui has only two seasons, Samui's rainy season lasts from October to December, and the dry season is from January-February to October.
Maenam offers spectacular views of Ko Phangan to the North, and the Ang Thong National Marine Park to the East. The waters are calm and clean and the beach much less crowded than Lamai or Chaweng.
Maenam's restaurants and bars still retain much of the local Thai flavor. Overall Maenam is quieter, more relaxed, with local Thai community still pretty much intact. The major golf course on the island is also in Maenam.
Make a day trip out to the beautiful Ang Thong National Marine Park by speedboat departing from Maenam beach.
Have breakfast or lunch in the clubhouse of the Santiburi Golf Course with breathtaking views over the Island.
Have dinner in the local restaurants and enjoy the local Thai flavor!

Maenam has a lot of authentic shops and businesses.
It's little away from the crowds and on the other hand when you want you only need 15 minutes to reach Chaweng!
