Villa Orchid is an excellent family holiday home situated in Koh Samui near the lovely fisherman’s village Bophut. The wonderful Cheong Mon Beach is eight minutes drive and Chaweng tourist centre is 5 mins drive. The nearest beach, shops and restaurants being only five mins away. Villa Orchid is set on a hill with a private ecological salt water affinity pool and Jacuzzi surrounded by a tropical gated garden. There are plenty of sunloungers and a Sala where you can keep in the shade. There is outside dining and outdoor speakers for music. Inside have three double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. All beds are king size and fresh linen is supplied. The kitchen is fully equipped for cutlery, plates, pans, microwave, oven and fridge. The sitting room is huge with very high ceilings with lovely Thai style furniture and satellite TV, DVD, Stereo, Telephone and Wi Fi. There are two day beds in the sitting room where you can relax inside with the air-conditioning if the day becomes too hot!

About the owner
We love our Villa in Koh Samui. It is placed just away from the tourist route but close enough to get to the restaurants and beaches. We have had many family holidays at the Villa and find it perfect for the kids as they get to use the pool as soon as we wake and then lunch on the beach and all afternoon playing in the sea. (Adults, This is the time to grab a massage!) When we get home they are exhausted. The showers cleans them up and the baby sitter arrives and they have some local food that we pick up near the house. We are then off to dinner and some adult time. Its been a life saver for us. You can sit around the pool at night with music playing on the outdoor speakers and its close to everywhere. Also there is black outs in each bedroom in case you have a late night!

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We fell in love with the Island. Even though we had both visited Koh Samui when we were travelling on our gap years, we still loved it, but in a different way when we returned. Koh Samui has progressed well and not become too touristy in all areas. We are perched on a hill with a cluster of other private Villas most of the Villas are for people who live on the Island all year around. Its a perfect place to spend your time as you have complete privacy but everywhere is so close to get to. The nearest beach is in Bangrak no more than ten mins walk away. The other best two beaches are Chong Mong and Manam both eight mins drive away. The Villa is away from the tourist crowd and gives you the feeling that you live there which I feel helps you relax into your holiday very quickly!
