This villa was completed in November 2008. It benefits from a secluded position in the north east tip of Samui, yet is conveniently situated close to the airport and major tourist attractions, making it ideal for groups looking for a touch of luxury but wanting to maintain a level of privacy. The accommodation comprises: 3 en-suite bedrooms all with air conditioning: Large open-plan lounge with views across the infinity edge pool to the bay beyond: Fully fitted European kitchen with granite work surfaces: Sun terrace and sala equipped with separate fridge, shower, wc and outdoor dining area. The villa benefits from 24 hour security and ease of access with ample parking provision. It benefits from "passive cooling" in the living and kitchen areas to keep cool without using airconditioning. The west facing aspect of this villa overlooking the Gulf of Siam towards the Ang Thong Marine Park means that the sunsets at this location are some of the most spectacular on the island.

There is a maid service in the afternoons 6 days per week. All bed linen, bath towels and pool towels are provided and are changed twice a week. House manager lives locally to assist with any problems or answer any queries guests may have. |
Notes on accommodation
The upstairs master bedroom suite has its own sun terrace and commands fantastic views across the bay. The sala has it's own shower.
Sorry, no pets. Strictly no smoking inside the house. You are welcome to smoke in the sala and on the terrace.
We have satellite TV.
There is a Sony Playstation 2 console with numerous games available which can be obtained for a fully refundable deposit paid locally to the site management.
Bring your music with you, the DVD surround sound has a 3.5 mm jack to which you can connect your MP3 and play your own music.
We try to be as environmentally friendly as possible and we encourage our guests to be. The house was designed to benefit from "passive cooling" in the main living areas, though the bedrooms all have their own air conditioning. We harvest all our rainwater and have our own deep well. All hot water is provided by an "on demand" system to avoid using energy to heat and store water. All recyclables are recovered by the maid service.

Accessibility
The two ground floor bedrooms can accommodate wheelchair access easily. The upstairs master bedroom suite is not suitable for wheelchair access or those with mobility impairments as the stairs are steep. The pool has two shallow areas which will help those suffering from any mobility impairments to enter and leave the pool, similarly this will help those with small children, but as with all pools, guests are reminded to supervise children in the pool at all times.
Outside
12x3m private infinity edge swimming pool also has shallow areas to sit and relax with a drink. The sala has its own fridge so you can take a drink on the terrace without the need to go back to the house. The sala also has it's own wc and it's own shower which means you never have to stray too far from your sun lounger. The infinity edge swimming pool with views across the bay has shallow areas for relaxation and cooling off. There are sunloungers provided on both the main sun terrace and on the master bedroom terrace. There is a barbeque at the villa should you wish to cook your own catch! The house was designed to provide as much shade as possible and to keep the living areas cool, as well as to provide refuge on the terrace from the sun, which can be quite intense. Sunloungers provided for the main terrace and the master bedroom terrace. Sala seats up to eight and has it's own ceiling fan as does the master bedroom terrace. Ample parking on private drive for at least two cars.
Coast/Beach
The villa overlooks Big Buddah beach which is a 5 minute walk. Other nearby beaches are Tongson bay 5 mins drive. Samrong bay 2 mins drive and Cheong Mon beach 10 mins drive which is regarded by many as the best on the island. Beaches slightly further afield are Chaweng 20 mins. Bophut 15 mins and Mae Nam 20 mins. No beach on the island is further than 45 mins drive away! Being an island, you are never more than a few minutes away from any beach on Samui.
Golf
The 18 hole championship Santiburi golf course is a 20 minute drive away. Bophut hills golf course is 10 minutes away.
Travel
Samui airport is 10 minutes drive from the villa.
Car hire is not essential, but is highly recommended. We can arrange car hire if required.

Tesco Lotus supermarket 20 mins. Cinema 20 mins. Bowling 20 mins. Choeng Mon beach 10 mins. Chaweng 20 mins. Bophut (Fisherman's village) 15 mins.

The activities available to visitors to Samui are many and varied, popular activities include golf, diving, sailing, snorkelling, wind surfing, kite boarding, flying fox, atvs, elephant rides, jet skis, cooking, spa treatments etc etc.

Booking notes
When booking we require an initial deposit of 40% direct credit to our account. The balance to be paid 8 weeks before arrival. If the booking is made within 8 weeks of arrival, the total cost of the rental shall be due at the time of booking.
During peak season the minimum stay is 7 nights.

About the owner
I live in England with my wife, 2 children and various pets. My wife and I both work, but have spent most of our holidays over the last few years in Thailand, where we have made many friends and have really fallen in love with the country, especially Samui and the surrounding islands.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
It's hard not to fall in love with Samui and the surrounding islands like Koh Phan-Ngan and Koh Tao. They really are a tropical island paradise. We decided to take the plunge in 2006 and bought a little slice of hillside jungle overlooking Big Buddha beach and out towards the Marine Park. The building was finally completed at the end of 2008.
