For hosted winter skiing and self-catered summer holidays, Chalet Emma is a superb base for 8/10 to enjoy the best of the Swiss Alps just two hours from Geneva. Chalet Emma is newly built (2007), luxury 4 bedroom chalet with a large open plan living area on the middle floor with a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and comfortable seating with leather sofas, wood-burning stove and doors to a balcony with great views over to the Matterhorn. Finished to a high standard, the accommodation is for 8 people sleeping in four bedrooms (2 doubles and 2 twins) - one double has additional reduced height accommodation suitable for small children. The lower floor has two twin bedrooms, both with doors on to an outside terrace, and a shower room and washer/dryer room. The upper floor has two double bedrooms with an ensuite shower room and bathroom. Located at the end of the 4 valleys, Les Collons 1800 and Thyon 2100 is a skiers and boarders dream with great snow from December to April.

Changeover day
Changeover day is on a Sunday during the Winter season. In the summer season the change over is on a Saturday.

Chalet Emma is available on a catered basis during the Winter ski season. Our chalet hosts will keep the chalet clean and tidy and will provide breakfast, tea and a three course evening meal with wine. All linen and towels are included. |

Accessibility
Drive down to chalet, vehicular access difficult without 4 wheel drive in the winter. There is a further 2 parking spaces owned by Chalet Emma next to the mid-station lift (250m walk from the chalet).
Outside
There is a small patio area with barbecue with outdoor furniture.
Golf
Sion, situated 20 minutes from Chalet Emma boasts a very good 18 hole golf course.
15 minutes from Sion in Sierre there is an excellent 9 hole golf course. Just up the Rhone Valley in Crans Montana, you will find The Crans Sur Sierre. Home of the Omega European Masters, voted the best golf course in the country by Severiano Ballesteros.
Skiing
Located at the end of the Four Valleys, Les Collons 1800 and Thyon 2100 is a skiers and boarders dream with great snow from December to April. The vast ski area of 450km, is suitable for beginners, intermediates and advanced skiers. For boarders there is the Billabong Snow Park packed with interesting challenges. You can ski to Verbier for the day or Nendaz for lunch, guided tours to Verbier are available daily. Thyon offers a very good ski school, private ski lessons, heli skiing, off piste guiding, lessons for boarders and a children nursery.
Travel
Nearest Airport Geneva. Car hire is recommended. Distance to chalet from Geneva approximately 120 miles. Travel time Geneva to Les Collons 2 hrs. Travel time by car from Calais 15hrs. Geneva airport to Sion by train 2 hrs. Train runs every 20 minutes from the airport terminal.
Distances
Chalet Emma is situated at 1700m between the villages of Les Masses and Les Collons. 10 minutes walking distance to Les Collons. The main town of Sion is 20 mins down the valley. There are plenty of places of interest to visit around Sion including vineyards, hot springs, historic buildings and many shops.
The quaint village of Vex or Hemerence is a 10 minute drive.
