Notes on accommodation
Both apartments have underfloor heating. Secure building with lift. Tenants have free access to the fantastic range of private facilities such as lounge, terrace, swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, turkish bath, massage room, fitness room, laundry room, ski room. The quietness of residents and house rules have to be respected.
Outside
Both apartments have large southfacing balconies - from where the sun can be enjoyed all day.
Coast/Beach
Montreux (Lake of Geneva) can be reached within 1 hour, by car or by train (wonderful scenery).
Golf
Golf course Saanenmöser-Gstaad, at a distance of 25 mins.
Golf course Pont-La-Ville (Gruyère) at a distance of 40 mins drive.
Skiing
The huge ski-resort Château-d'Oex - Gstaad - Saanenmöser includes hundred of kilometers of well maintained slopes.
Glacier 3000: summer skiing on glacier 'des Diablerets'.
Travel
Fly to Geneva then by train or approx. 2 hours car journey. Good flight deals from EasyJet and BA into Geneva. Hertz supply ski equipped rental cars from Geneva. Possible to drive in about 7 hours from Calais. Approx. 2 1/2hours by railway Geneva-Lausanne-Montreux-Château-d'Oex (1 or 2 changes).
Distances
Gstaad: 20 mins drive, or 25 mins by train.
Interlaken or Lausanne: day trip.
Gruyère medieval village and castle: 30 mins drive.
Broc (chocolate factory): 30 mins drive.

Château-d‘Oex and the region of Pays-d‘Enhaut offer the best for most enjoyable and active holidays. There is a variety of sports to choose from in winter and in summer swimming, hiking, mountain climbing, river-rafting, paragliding, hot air ballooning, bowling, mountainbiking, skiing and cross country. The world famous hot air balloon festival takes place every year in January. Co-op supermarket in Château-d'Oex, Migros supermarkets in Gstaad or Bulle. Local shops, bakery and groceries selling local products. Some farmers do direct sale of cheese, eggs and milk. 2 Banks, Post Office, tourist office, railway and coach station. Hot air balloon museum. 3 restaurants are listed Gault+Millaut. Gstaad and its famous après ski-scene, its Festival of Classic Music (Menuhin).
Booking notes
25% deposit on booking. Balance requested 4 weeks before you travel. Cheques or bank transfer to UK Bank account. Rental payments are non-refundable in case of cancellation and a comprehensive travel insurance policy covering all relevant members of your party is highly recommended.
We will also request a security deposit of SFR. 400.-- (for apartment 42) and SFR. 2000.-- (for apartment No. 54) to be paid with the rental (re-imbursed 1-2 weeks after guests departure).
