Rsort opened 23rd November 2008!! Le Cret is a large apartment (160 m2/1725ft2 - divided into 120 m2 of living space + 40m2 of balconies). It has 4 double bedrooms plus two more beds on the mezannine areas and sleeps 8 adults plus 2 children with no sofa-beds or bunks. Le Cret comprises only 12 apartments. The private car park has a space allocated to the apartment and a communal garden with seating overlooks the Sion valley to the rear. The apartment building has a basement laundry room, and an internal ski-store near the main front door, and a lift. The apartment occupies 2 floors, with a double-height living room and galleried mezzanine. The lower floor comprises the entrance hall, 2 double bedrooms (both with balcony), a bathroom with twin basins and a bath/shower and a separate cloakroom with basin and lavatory. The kitchen and dining area/living room access a large wrap-around balcony via several French windows. Free WiFi broadband plus laptop. Concierge in daily attendance.

Changeover day
Changeover days are flexible. Please note that arrival is from 4pm onwards, and departure by 10am to ensure there is sufficient time to prepare the apartment between guests.

| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
All bed linen, towels, bathrobes and slippers included and are changed weekly. The property is thoroughly cleaned once a week. The concierge cleans all the common areas of the chalet, and keeps the paths and steps clear of snow in winter. |
Notes on accommodation
The chalet has a lift. The ski & boot room is located just inside the main front door on the ground floor. The central heating system is very efficient so you may decide a real fire is for added ambience only! The apartment is non-smoking. This penthouse apartment has many balconies, so active toddlers may require supervision. Sorry, no pets.
Accessibility
The allocated parking space is close to the apartment entrance. There are 4 steps up to the front door, and a portable ramp is available if required. There is a lift to the apartment, but please contact us for information regarding accessibility.
Outside
The apartment has 3 large private balconies which are connected to the kitchen, living/dining area and to all bedrooms. Comfortable rocking chairs are provided.
There is a communal garden with seating with lovely views over the Rhone valley.
Bikes may be securely stored in the basement 'cave', and outside is a cold water pressure hose for cleaning.
Golf
Golfers can enjoy the Sion course 20 mins drive away, the championship Crans sur Sierre (home to the European Masters Tournament) can be reached in 45 mins, and the Villars and Verbier courses are less than an hour away.
Skiing
Haute Nendaz is within the 4 Valleys, comprising Verbier, Siviez, Veysonnaz and Haute Nendaz. The area is rated as being best for intermediate skiers with extended terrain for experts, and for snowboarding. Tracouet above Haute Nendaz is a preferred location for beginners and also has a snow garden for children. Haute Nendaz has an excellent ski school with many bi-lingual ski and board instructors. Private lessons may also be arranged.
The telecabine is located about 450m from the apartment, and is a few minutes walk away. A free local ski-bus runs every 20 mins round the village during the winter season.
The highest lift is at 3330m, and as many pistes are above 2500m, skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season, which runs from early December to late April. The glacier in Verbier provides year-round skiing and some of the most challenging runs and the inter-resort lift connections are described as excellent.
There is a 6 km signposted snow-shoe trail close by.
Travel
Geneva is the nearest major airport and is about a one and a quarter hour flight from most London airports. There is an excellent and reliable train service from Geneva airport to Sion which takes between 90 minutes and 2 hours. During the winter season there are sometimes direct flights from the UK to Sion airport - check to see if these are running. Haute Nendaz is a 20 minute taxi ride from Sion which is 12km away.
Driving from Geneva to Haute Nendaz takes approximately 1 hour 45 minutes.

Further details
Walking the 100km of glorious bisse, mountain biking, rock climbing, mountaineering, tennis, squash and horse riding are other pursuits than can be enjoyed in this most beautiful part of the Alps. The bisse are ancient (medieval in some cases) irrigatino waterways that link the local mountain high-altitude villages. Well-maintained, 6 of the 9 local bisses are water-filled, and as they follow the natural contours of the mountains they are nice, gentle walks for all the family.
There is also an open-air swimming pool a couple of minutes walk further up the road from the chalet, which overlooks the mountains with wonderful views over 30km, and which is heated to 25C from early June until September.
Snowshoeing is a great way for all the family to enjoy the mountains, and requires no special training. Guests may use the Tubbs Wilderness show-shoe kits provided - 8 sets of shoes, poles & back packs. 4 sets for gents, 4 sets for ladies/children.
Trails are well marked, and one runs all the way from Haute-Nendaz to Tortin, via Siviez. The nearest is a clearly signposted 6km trail which starts close to the nearby radio mast. Maps of these trails are available in our Info Pack, and from the local Tourist Office.
Booking notes
Please book via web-link below. A non-refundable 25% deposit is required to secure the booking, with the balance plus a £300 refundable damage deposit payable 6 weeks before arrival. In the event of a booking made closer to the arrival date, payment to be made in full and all monies to clear prior to arrival.
