Notes on accommodation
Only a few steps to negotiate - lift goes directly into apartment. Ski closet in the entrance. Boots can be kept in the apartment.
Skiing
Verbier is a well known resort with wonderful facilities, a large sunny bowl offering skiing at all levels, especially appreciated for its wonderful off-piste terrain. Romantica is less than 5 min walk from the main lift station @ Medran.

Should you wish to have your holiday catered, there are a few teams (with very good reputation) that may be called upon.
Travel
Closest airport is Geneva. Trains depart almost every hour from the Airport to take you to Martigny (about 1 hr 45 mins). From there you take either a taxi to Verbier (30 mins) currently about CHF 140) or the local train from Martigny to Le Chable; take a taxi ( CHF 60 ) or a bus to Verbier Poste or the cable cars from Le Chable to Medran. The apartment is a 5 min walk from either the Post office or the Medran cable car station. With luggage it is easier access from the Medran as it is downhill.

About the owner
'Romantica' was constructed in 2000 and we celebrated our first Christmas here that year. We are Verbier residents and enjoy life here as much in the summer as in the winter. And in between; the spring can be beautiful and the autumn spectacular. We are Swedish nationals with an international background with homes in other parts of the world.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We chose Verbier for its extensive skiing, as much for ourselves as for our children, who spend all major holidays here and also time in between, as the train access from Geneva airport is excellent. They also find a summer holiday here is far more active and physically challenging than any beach holiday. Apart from an enormous amount of hiking tracks, all well mapped out, there is rock climbing, mountain biking, paragliding school, out- and indoor public swimming pool, golf, tennis, horseback riding. The days are very warm and the nights cool and fresh.
Unique benefits of the property
'Romantica' has a prime location in the village: just set back from the Rue de Medran, the main street ( soon to be made pedestrian, with car access for residents only) which runs from Place Centrale to the main lift station; at about 5 min walk from either. Across is the famous Verbier landmark, the Fer a Cheval, the No 1 after ski 'drinking hole.' The Michellod Bakery is two minutes away. The apartment has balconies on three sides and almost 360 views of the mountains.
