We your hosts Helen and Nigel will be on hand to guide and help make your stay everything you would hope it to be. High quality home cooked meals provided by trained chef. We only take bookings for the whole chalet both winter & summer.
Changeover day
Saturday - Saturday Summer Sunday to Sunday in the Winter as the flights are cheaper and the roads are less busy. Please feel free to contact us if you require any different we are flexible.

Notes on accommodation
Catered - Helen and Nigel will prepare home cooked meals for 6 days of the week. On their day off, they will prepare a Continental-style breakfast and afternoon tea and that evening you can eat out in one of the local restaurants.
Breakfast: Cereals, bread, and pastries with preserves, yoghurt, fresh fruit and juice. Unlimited tea and coffee with a hot dish of the day, which will include bacon sandwich
Afternoon Tea: Home made cake and bread with preserves, unlimited tea and coffee. Just the thing after a hard day on the slopes.
Dinner: Home cooked 3 course dinner with wine.
We are happy to cater for most special dietary requirements, but we must be made aware of this on booking.
No smoking in the chalet or pets.
Winter: Catered price includes airport transfers from Geneva/Sion Sunday - Sunday as flights are cheaper and the roads are less busy, subject to availability and for parties of 4 or more people, if you require another transfer please contact us for a quote.

Outside
New from April 08, luxury hot tub. Outside is a terrace with outstanding views over to the other side of the mountain and valley. You can see the unusual rock formations 'The Pyramids that give the village its name. 3 separate balconies on different floors all with amazing views. Parking area and large garage that will fit a 4x4 and ski rack below the chalet. BBQ and garden furniture available. When there is sufficient snow, you can ski back to the chalet on a path from the lift at Les Masses. Otherwise there is a free private mini bus which takes 3-5 min to the lift at Les Masses.
Coast/Beach
Lake Geneva is only just over 1 hour drive. Also lakes is the valley which are glorious on a hot sunny day. Lake Des Dix and Lac De Cleuson are near by. You can see the Dix dam from the chalet.
Golf
Valais is a natural paradise full of contrasts that has become a favourite destination for golfers from all over the world. It offers four 18-hole courses at Verbier, Sion, Crans-Montana and Loeche as well as five 9-hole tracks at Sierre, Crans-Montana, Riederalp, Matterhorn and Source du Rhône. As you breathe in our pure air, you will marvel at the nearby-unrivaled views of snow-covered peaks. You'll never forget that your are in the very heart of the Alps, where the sun reigns supreme for more than 300 days a year. Golf club Sion 2km down the mountain. Mini golf - Thyon 2000 - Free.
Skiing
Les Collons-Thyon 2000 is a skiers and boarders dream having great snow from November to April. High altitude no lack of snow season 06/07.
Located at the end of the 4 valleys it benefits from one of highest up to 3300m and largest ski regions in Europe with over 400 km of piste and over 100 ski lifts. An intermediate skier/boarder can get to Verbier from here in about 1.5 hours.
The ski area above Les Masses/Les Collons is fabulous with wide open and sunny slopes perfect for all and includes one of the most famous ski slopes in the Alps, the fabulous Piste de L’Ours. With some of the best off piste you can ski everywhere. There are good value traditional restaurants all around the slopes.
English speaking ski school at Thyon 2000 taking children from 3.5 years. Theytaz Sports (Les Collons) you will receive 10% on hire.
Looking to ski the Verbier 4 valleys system without the crowds or large price tag, for a taste of traditional Switzerland this is the place.
Special interest holidays
Sion the oldest town in Switzerland to the high mountain peaks of the Alps. The heart of the Valais really does offer something for everyone from sun drenched vineyards to snow capped mountains with pure air where the sun reigns supreme for more than 300 days a year.
The region offers a wide range of sporting activities with mile upon mile of marked paths for walking, hiking and mountain biking. There are also quad bikes, horse riding, nature reserves, glaciers, lakes and the Dix dam that you can see from the chalet. If all that is too exhausting just sit back and enjoy the sunshine, local cuisine, thermal baths, history, culture and shopping
Travel
Just 1¼ hour from Geneva and 20 mins from Sion airport
Transfers(they are included in the catered winter price).
There are trains about every 30mins from Geneva airport to Sion also new train link from Germany. To drive from Calais would be 9-10 hours, in the winter you will need snow chains. Most budget airlines fly to Geneva, check out Easy Jet, FlyB and Swiss Air. westernair.co.uk fly to Sion.

Booking notes
1. On booking you must pay a deposit of 30% of the total cost of your stay.
2. A damage deposit (self catering only) of £150 per booking will be must accompany Your final balance no later than 6 weeks before your arrival date. The damage deposit will be returned by cheque after property inspection within two weeks of your departure so long as no deductions are necessary.
