‘Chalet Claire’ was built in 2005 to a very high standard with accommodation on three floors. Part of the vast four valleys ski region,with 400km of ski piste on offer. There are magnificent views from every aspect of the chalet. Although situated in a quiet location you are within easy walking distance, 5-10 mins, of a shop, restaurant and skilift (you can leave skis and boots at the bottom of the lift at the end of the day). You are also a 5 minute drive away from the bars and restaurants of Les Collons. The area has wonderful walking and mountain biking trails and many other activities for all the family making it a perfect location for holidays in the winter or summer.

Saturday is changeover day.
Accommodation
| Bedrooms: | On the top floor is one double bedroom with balcony, one twin bedroom with balcony and one bedroom with bunkbeds. On the ground floor is one double bedroom and one twin room each with access to an outside terrace. |
| Bathrooms: | One bathroom on top floor and one bathroom on the ground floor both with bath/shower over. One cloakroom on the middle floor with toilet and basin. |
| Kitchen: | Well equipped modern kitchen with hob, oven, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, microwave and fondue. |
| Utility Room: | Large utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer and drying area for clothes and boots. |
| Living Rooms: | Large open plan room with leather corner sofa, open fire, satellite television with English channels. Video and DVD players. There is also a large round dining table set in a bay window with panoramic views of the Matterhorn in the distance. |

Cleaning is included in the price and bedlinen and towels are £13 per person extra. |
Notes on accommodation
Children are very welcome and we can supply a highchair and stair gates. The chalet has underfloor heating throughout. The chalet is non smoking and no pets are allowed. Sorry no large single sex groups.

Outside
Outside we have two lawned areas where you can sit, have a barbecue and enjoy the magnificent views.
Coast/Beach
Although the area is not close to the sea, there are some beautiful bathing lakes in the valley which are fed by the Rhone river and are an ideal place to spend a hot summer's day.
Skiing
Les Masses is situated at 1500 metres and is part of the famous Four Valleys ski region with 400kms of ski piste. It is possible to ski to Verbier and back in a day. There is guaranteed skiing from December until April.
Along with other activities in the area, there are also several kilometres of cleared walking paths if there are some in your party who don't ski.
Travel
Les Masses is approx 1hour 50 mins from Geneva airport. You would either need to hire a car from the airport or you could take the train from Geneva to Sion and hire a car there or get a taxi up the mountain to the chalet. If you choose to drive, the journey from Calais would take you approx 9-10 hours. If you are driving in the winter you would need to take snow chains.
Distances
Les Masses is 20 kms from the historic town of Sion and is a 5 minute drive away from the traditional Swiss village of Heremence and the ski resort Les Collons. The Grand Dixence dam, the highest dam in Europe is a 15 minute drive away.
Further details
The local villages have a good range of facilities including shops, banks, post office and many restaurants.

We ask for a 20% deposit and ask for payment in full 8 weeks before the holiday. A small tourist tax charge is extra and is payable in the resort.
