This area is one of the best and most diverse in Europe.Many many walks, lots of summer activities (golf, mountain biking, hiking, cow jousts!). Chalet available fully catered if required.

Outside
Large balconies outside all bedrooms overlooking Rhone Valley. each bedroom has wonderful views. On living room floor, large terrace with incredible views from Siviez over to Crans Montana. Small patio outside kitchen. Outdoor jacuzzi to be installed summer 2011.
Coast/Beach
Sion train station enables travel to the Italian lakes, and Venice. The Swiss lakes are closer, either for boat trips, or sailing or swimming (Montreux, Vevey, Lausanne and lots of small villages en route).
Golf
Sion 14km away. Crans Montana European course 40km.
Skiing
Telecabine reached on foot 12 mins or by free navette 50m from chalet.
Ski and boot storage available at telecabine. Veysonnaz is an integral part of the Four Valleys ski area; there are countless runs in every category; endless moguls; incredible off-piste, glacier skiing, heli-skiing available and for beginners gentle nursery slopes and slow lanes. Two ski schools in Veysonnaz, either all day or by the hour. Guides can be arranged. Also child care, either in "snow school" or in nursery, for half or full days. The Rhone valley is home to over 130 ski resorts, all easily accessible by short car journeys if desired.
Special interest holidays
We can provide theme weeks, based on wines or types of food. We are able to arrange group activities especially cookery or walking. Ideal for management training and corporate breaks; projector supplied. Tutoring for children (Common entrance, GCSE, AS and A2 ) is available with adequate notice; the tutors are all Oxbridge graduates.
Travel
Sion, 14km from Veysonnaz has an airport, Snowjet flies in on the weekends. Geneva airport is two hours by train, 90 mins by car. Milan and Turin are also possible. From Dover, it is about 8 hours, motorway the whole route.
Distances
Veysonnaz centre 200 metres. Telcabine 500 metres. Sion 14 k Geneva 180 k Milan 270 k (2hrs 15mins by rail). Sion, the oldest Swiss city is 14km away. Thermal baths abound in the Rhone valley, closest is Saillon 17km away. Underground lake, largest in Europe at St Leonard 20km. Martigny, with Roman ruins and galleries 30km.
Further details
Veysonnaz has all a small village would expect; post office, bus service to Sion, butcher, three supermarkets; several bars, restaurants, take-aways, tourist office, newsagents and other shops. The village organises activities, torch light mountain descents once a week; walks across the valley for non skiers, trips to the nearest skating rink.

Alexander and Madeleine MacLachlan relocated to Switzerland 4 years ago. With a history in construction they commissioned Louis Fournier a leading local architect to design and build Chalet Lachlan just a stone's throw away from their own house. Alex and Mady will usually be next door to help with anything during your stay.

The views out over the Rhone valley 4000 ft below are stunning.
You have all the access to the 4 Valleys skiing area without the queues and expense of Verbier; it is the same snow...
The Alpine meadows in spring and summer have to be seen and the Autumn Fall is as good as you will find in North America.
Veysonnaz is a lovely village with a number of restaurants, a few bars, and a couple of night clubs. It is great for those who want to go out, but equally ideal for those who prefer a quieter retreat.
