Accessibility
The property is on the first floor with a lift, though there are 5 steps at the main front door.

Coast/Beach
Lake Geneva is about a 30 minute drive away and has "beach" facilities, lake trips and an Aquaparc. The beautiful town of Montreux is about a 35 minute drive.
Golf
World famous and stunning 18 hole Alpine golf course on the mountain in Villars.
Skiing
Extensive Skiing. Ability to 'ski in and out' from the chalet. For beginners the "Tele Cabine" is a 2 minute drive away or alternatively the mountain can be accessed by mountain railway. One can walk and leave skis and boots in a locker at the railway station in town. There is an extenisve range of skiing for beginners and advanced skiers alike. The resort links to Diablerets, Gryon and Glacier 3000. For further information see villars.ch. Glacier 3000's ski season ends on the 3rd May and generally starts in early December. The bottom lift in Verbier can be driven to from Villars in about 45 minutes.
Travel
Geneva 1 hour 15 mins by car or 1 hour 20 on the train to Aigle, then a 20 minute taxi ride. It is also possible to access Villars on the mountain train from Bex, or there is a bus from Aigle to Villars. There is outside parking available at the Chalet.
Distances
15 minute walk to Villars town centre (up hill on the way back!) or a 2 minute drive. Lake Geneva and Montreux within a 35 minute drive.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
Villars is really easy to get to - 2 trains per hour from Geneva airport to Aigle then a taxi up the mountain. Excellent in winter and summer.
Unique benefits of the property
This is a beautiful apartment well equipped with stunning views. Far from being a rental apartment it is our families second home but regrettably we cant use it as much as we would like! You can ski in and out avoiding the lift queue and the train. There is a great range of skiing both for beginners and advanced skiers. There are wide pisted slopes and an excellent range of off piste runs for those who want to be more daring. At Diableret it is possible to ski off piste from the Glacier, though a guide is recommended. Within an hour you can drive around to to Verbier or Gstaad. In the summer the resort is really popular, you can hire bikes, swim, hike, para glide, white water rafting or sail on the lake in the wonderful clean air.
