Totally refurbished apartment in a small chalet. This is a dual season resort is perfect for skiers, mountain walkers and golfers, or indeed anyone who enjoys the mountains in Summer or Winter alike. Villars town centre is within walking distance with its selection of lovely bars, restaurants and plentiful shops. Villars is a 'family friendly resort' where in winter; children less than 9 years have a free ski pass, making it much less expensive for a family holiday! Everything you need is in the apartment, a well equipped kitchen and includes cable TV, DVD and CD player. There is a communal indoor swimming pool, games room, washing facilities, ski locker and allocated secure underground parking space.

Changeover day
Changeover day is Saturday after 4pm to allow for cleaning. Departure by 10am. There can be some flexibility on arrival and departure times, please contact owner.

Notes on accommodation

Golf
10 -15 minutes drive by car to the beautiful golf course in Villars, a challenging mountain golf course located at a height of 1600 metres , open from May to October. Others close by include Montreux, Aigle Verbier, Evian and Maison Blanche.
Skiing
The apartment is situated in the beautiful ski resort of Villars and the Telecabin a short walk away, where skis can be left overnight (small charge). Alternatively a ski bus passes the front door. Other ski areas close by include Verbier (50 minutes) Les Portes de Soleil (40 minutes) Gstaad 1 hour 30 minutes. The glacier can be reached on skis from Villars.
Travel
Geneva airport is about 1 hour 20 minutes away by car, an easy drive of motorway followed by 20 minutes up the mountain road.
Villars can easily be reached by train, either from Geneva to Aigle, then change to waiting mountain bus or to Bex and catch the beautiful mountain railway straight to Villars.

Booking notes
Please contact owner where your booking can be confirmed. Following this a contract will be sent to you to be signed and returned to the owner with deposit or full payment, depending on time of booking. A security deposit is required and normally returned within 3 days of departure where there are no breakages/damage etc.
Payments are normally made in Swiss francs by easy bank transfer, although other arrangements for payment can be made.

We wanted a mountain village that was beautiful all year and Villars fits the bill, whether you ski or just love walking in the mountains in Summer. The location of Villars is so convenient, being only 1 hour and 20 minutes from Geneva by car and equally easy by train.
Unique benefits of the property
Les Bruyeres is about 500 metres from the Telecabin and 5-8 minutes walk into town. Also close to local restaurants and 2 minutes from a good supermarket, so very convenient. There is a communal heated swimming pool too, great for a few relaxing lengths after skiing.
