Traditionally built, spacious 2 storey ski chalet, located on edge of village but with all amenities and ski lifts within 10 mins walk. Chalet is South West facing with large balcony and BBQ area receiving the afternoon/evening Sun and offering spectacular views over the Rhone valley. The chalet has been recently constructed with 5 large bedrooms, 3 en-suite and 2 sharing a bathroom. There are 2 main ski lifts - Veysonnaz 10 mins walk or piste de l'ours (world cup downhill run) 10 mins by car. Both are part of the 4 valleys ski area with links to Verbier, Nendaz and Thyon. The village has a bus service within the area and also offers leisure centre inc. Swimming pool, restaurants, ATM, supermarkets, ski and bike hire and various shops. Ski schools are available and mountain bike trails are clearly marked. The area offers much for anyone who likes an active holiday or just wants to relax in the sun.

Notes on prices
Prices are per week and include departure clean and bed linen/towels. Two week lets £150 reduction.
Changeover day
Changeover is Saturday in winter.

Accessibility
Chalet is accessed via 10 steps. During winter road is regularly cleared by snow plough.
Outside
Large balcony and BBQ area. Patio tables and chairs, ideal to relax after a hard days skiing in the sun looking over Rhone valley. Chalet has 2 parking spaces and a garage. Also will arrange for 2 ski lockers by the Veysonnaz ski lift station.
Golf
There are numerous courses well within an hour's drive. The Valais is a natural paradise full of contrasts that has become a favourite destination for golfers from all over the world. It offers four 18-hole courses at Verbier, Sion, Crans-Montana and Loeche as well as five 9-hole courses at Sierre, Crans-Montana, Riederalp, Matterhorn and Source du Rhône.
As you breathe in our pure bracing air, you will marvel at the nearby unrivaled views of snow-covered peaks. You'll never forget that your are in the very heart of the Alps, where the sun reigns supreme for more than 300 days a year.
Skiing
Part of the 4 Valleys region access to world famous Verbier resort. 400km of linked skiing available. Piste de l'ours (women’s down hill cup ski run), Veysonnaz ski area links to Thyon 2000, Nendaz, Siviez and on to Verbier. Snow cannons on key areas so snow sure. Good combination of blues, reds and some black runs. Excellent for family skiing with excellent crèche and ski school facilities. Resort is steadily building new lifts, improving the uprate. New lift installed in Veysonnaz in 2006, and new lift this season for. The 4 valleys area, with 410 km of piste, apart from its sheer size, has something to offer every range of ability and nerve. The top station of Mont Fort (3300m) provides spectacular views of many of the highest peaks in the Alps as well as the opportunity to ski or watch the experts descending one of the worlds classic black runs.
Special interest holidays
For summer, just relax and do your own thing walking/biking on 300km of signposted paths in the beautiful mountains or join in with the organised 'Sun and Fun'. Activity weeks (additional cost) which run in July and August. Divided into 3 age ranges - 'The Bear Club' 4-8 years is free and offers theme days such as Indians; theatre; pottery; visit to farm and donkey riding. For 9-15 years and adult groups, activities include guided walks; mountain bike tours; football; tennis; wall climbing; BMX; swimming and archery. And for all - a night in the Indian Wigwam. In June you can see one of Switzerland's most picturesque customs - the taking of the cows to the high pasture.
Travel
By Car, approximately 8 hours from Calais.
By Air: Fly to Geneva(1 hour 45 drive) Easyjet, BA, Swissair to Geneva.
Train direct from Geneva airport to Sion 1 hour 40 mins. Veysonnaz is a 15 min taxi ride from Sion train station.
Flights to Sion are available during the winter season from London Heathrow airport on a Saturday to Saturday basis. Veysonnaz is a 15 min taxi ride from Sion airport.
Distances
Only 10km or a 15 minute drive away is Historic Sion, Switzerland's oldest town, it has 2 chateaux, a cathedrals and many museums. Full shopping facilities, theatre, cinema, swimming pool. Thermal baths are 30 minutes away at Saillon. Verbier can be reached by car within 1 hour, Mont Blanc within 1.5 hours and Saas Fee, Zermatt within 2 hours. If you wish to travel to Italy, Milan is just 4 hours away.

The runs range from 500 to 3,000m above sea level. Enjoy the magical landscape, whiz down fantastic toboggan runs, show your prowess in snowboard parks, embark on a cross-country ski or snowshoes tour on one of our countless sign-posted trails. The villages in the area have an authentic ambiance and at the same time top-notch infrastructure. Heli-skiing is available to the Pigne d'Arolla at 3,800m and the Wildhorn at 3,000m. Sion itself is well worth a visit, with its historic Castle and many interesting shops and cafes.

Prices are for the property per week and includes, linen and departure clean. A 25% (£500 min) non refundable deposit is required with booking and final payment is due 8 weeks prior to arrival. A refundable guarantee of £300 (by cheque) is payable with final payment to cover any loss or damage.
