Nendaz is ideal for summer activities eg mountain biking and walking. 2 mins from sporting facilities including outdoor swimming pool (summer), ice rink, tennis courts and children’s play area as well as sports pitch which doubles as the paragliding landing area. For skiers the Telecabine de Tracouet is 400m walk and the ski bus stops nearby for access to Tortin, Verbier and 4 Valleys area offering some of the best off-piste in the Alps. Underground parking, ski locker and laundry room with free dryer.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the apartment per week in UK pounds. A damage guarantee of £200 is required which is refunded after a final inspection that takes place after your departure. Cleaning is £100 and £15 per person for bedlinen including two towels. Guests are asked to take their own towels for use in the swimming pool.

Notes on accommodation
Non-smoking apartment throughout.
Underfloor heating - thermostate in each room.
All rooms are fitted with shutters providing warmth in Winter and cooling in Summer.
A £200 damage deposit will be added to your booking which will be refunded after inspection of apartment post rental.

Accessibility
The apartment is on the 2nd floor, accessible by a lift or stairs.
The secure underground carpark is on the basement level of the apartment block, accessible by lift to the apartment.
The swimming pool is on the 1st floor, the laundry is on the ground floor.
Outside
The pool is on the 1st floor directly beneath the apartment and can be accessed by lift - just take a towel, no need to get changed into outdoor clothes! The luxury pool is approx 20m long and has a beautiful sun terrance with loungers and a sauna. A balcony runs to 2 sides of the apartment with outside table and chairs to enjoy 180 degreee spectacular views of mountains and Rhone valley. A small terrace runs behind apartment. The front balcony also overlooks the sledge run and communal sports grounds of Nendaz with kids playground and paragliding landing area right outside the block and 5 mins from ice rink, tennis courts and outdoor swimming pool.
Golf
Nendaz provides good access to several excellent courses: Sion golf course is 20 minutes drive away; the championship Crans sur Sierre (home to the European Masters Tournament) is 45 minutes, and Villars and Verbier courses are about 55 minutes.
Skiing
Nendaz is at the middle of the 4 Valleys which includes Verbier and provides some of the best skiing in the alps. From Tracouet station in Nendaz plenty of intermediate and beginner slopes are available, or a couple of warm-up runs can have you linking into the more difficult areas of the 4 Vallees and up towards Tortin and Mont Fort or easily over to Verbier. The other option is to take the all-inclusive Nendaz bus service (there's also a bus stop in front of the apartment) from Tracouet telecabine in Nendaz which takes you around to Siviez (15 minute ride) right into the heart of the more serious 4 Valleys skiing. From here you have access to one of the best off-piste ski areas in the Alps.
Over the last few years Tracouet has seen the development of a snowpark comprising rails, different modules and a course of jumps. 4 ski schools offer great quality services. Childcare on daily or 1/2 day basis, lessons possible for children starting from age 2 years.
Travel
The nearest airport is Sion which is 15kms from Nendaz - Snowjet operate 3 flights a week from London Standsted to Sion in winter. International airports are Geneva or Bern - both about 160kms away - 2 hours drive if hiring a car. Trains from Geneva to Sion are regular and punctual taking 2 hours.

Nendaz is at the heart of the Alps in the Valais region which is the sunniest region in Switzerland. Whether you want activity or relaxation in the Summer or Winter you’ll discover breathtaking scenery stretching out over the valley and the 4,000m high mountains that dominate it. In Winter, you can gorge yourself of a paradise of skiing. Haute Nendaz is linked to the 4-Valleys with its 92 ski lifts and 412 km of pistes. The northern exposure, the high altitude and the Mont-Fort glacier (at 3,300m) guarantee snow from December to April. For children, Tracouet ski area is the ideal area and includes a snow garden, 3 ski schools and a nursery. Tracouet is directly above Haute Nendaz and is linked by a cable car from the town centre.
In Summer, you can discover the area on foot via the network of 8 Bisses (offering 98km of walking) which are paths that run alongside the irrigation canals providing very enjoyable walking as they pass through mountain pastures and woodland and provide stunning views of the valleys and mountains. For more strenuous outings there are 250km of walks to reach the summits. For amateur and advanced mountain bikers there are 10 new circuits for all levels. Nendaz offers all the services of a big resort: nursery, ski school, restaurants, bars, discos, banks and sports shops. There's a heated outdoor swimming pool with a paddling pool opposite the apartment with marvellous views over the Rhône valley. It's open from 2nd June to 2nd September. There's also a fabulous spa complex with 3 outdoor pools, one indoor pools and enough saunas to loose a stone in an afternoon at Saillon which is 30 mins drive down the valley - great to stop off at one of the Valais vineyards on the way back. The International Alpenhorn Festival is held at the end of July and is a must see event.

This was our first trip to Switzerland and this Nendaz apartment was exactly what we were looking for, being the perfect base from which to explore more of the surrounding region. The views from the apartment were superb, especially in the late evening and it was special to be able to soak up the scenery from the balcony. Everything that we needed was provided in this well-appointed modern apartment and the facilities were excellent, including the private swimming pool form which you had fantastic view of the mountains.
