Built in 1998, it has been beautifully maintained with up to date quality in fixtures and fittings. On the 2nd floor, serviced by lift and stairs, it has magnificent views. Veysonnaz is an unspoilt small mountain village with both winter and summer season activities. Linked to the '4 Valleys', it offers superb skiing on 400km of marked piste, 100 lifts and snow canons to guarantee excellent snow conditions. An ideal summer location too with its mountain lakes and beautiful forests. Excellent for hikers, mountain bikers and walkers alike. 300km of signposted mountain paths. Whether you want to be lively and energetic or just sit back quietly and relax, Veysonnaz is the resort for you as it caters for all age groups. Under 2 hours by car/train from Geneva.

Outside
Large balcony facing west, approx 1.9 x 15m. Table and 6 chairs. Far reaching views of snowcapped mountains and valley of Sion below. Designated parking space adjacent to the apartment.

Coast/Beach
Whilst Veysonnaz cannot offer you the sea, the shores of Lac Leman, one of Switzerland's largest lakes are within an hour's drive.

Golf
6 golf courses within 1 hours drive, 18 hole courses are: Sion; Verbier; Leuk Seuston and Crans-sur-Sierre, 9 hole courses at Sierre and Crans-sur-Sierre. A further 3 nine hole courses within 2 hours drive at Matterhorn; Riederalp and Source du Rhone. The course at Sion, just 20 minutes away is open practically all year round.

Skiing
Breathtaking skiing for all abilities from mid November to mid April. Ski the famous World Cup downhill run - Piste de l'Ours or visit the glacier on Mont Fort. The all encompassing '4 Valleys' Mt Fort pass offers 25 blue, 70 red and 5 black runs serviced by 18 gondolas; 32 chair lifts and 49 surface lifts. Snow cannons ensure excellent conditions. 32km of cross-country slopes. Snowboarding runs and 5km snow shoe treks. 10 minutes walk to gondolas at Veysonnaz or a free ski-bus to Veysonnaz, Thyon and Verbier stops 200m away at end of road to apartment. Free parking at Gondola. Secure Ski locker facilities by gondola. 3 Ski/Snow board hire/shop and Swiss Ski School for children aged 3 1/2-6 years, and 7 years-adult in Veysonnaz itself. Special interest holidays
For summer, just relax and do your own thing walking/biking on 300km of signposted paths in the beautiful mountains or join in with the organised 'Sun & Fun' Activity weeks which run in July & August. Divided into 3 age ranges - 'The Bear Club' 4-8 years is free and offers theme days such as Indians; theatre; pottery; visit to farm and donkey riding. For 9-15 years and adult groups, activities include guided walks; mountain bike tours; football; tennis; wall climbing; BMX; swimmimg and archery. And for all - a night in the Indian Wigwam. In June you can see one of Switzerland's most picturesque customs - the taking of the cows to the high pasture.

Travel
Many ways to travel:
1)Fly to Geneva then 2 hours by train/car from Geneva to Sion + 15 mins drive by car/taxi to Veysonnaz itself. Competitive car hire available from Geneva airport.
2) Ferry/tunnel & self-drive through France.
3)Train/TGV through France to Sion + 15 minutes drive by car/taxi to Veysonnaz itself. At certain times of year, chartered flights do go to Sion. Parking adjacent to apartment and in multi-storey car park by gondolas. Car is not essential unless you wish to explore.

Distances
Historic Sion, Switzerland's oldest town which is only 10km, 15 minutes away, has 2 chateaux, a cathedral and many museums. Full shopping facilities, theatre, cinema, swimming pool. Thermal baths are 30 minutes away at Saillon. Verbier can be reached by car within 1 hour, Mont Blanc within 1.5 hours and Saas Fee, Zermatt within 2 hours. If you wish to travel to Italy, Milan is just 4 hours away.

Veysonnaz has: Gondola station; 4 sports/hire shops; 3 supermarkets; a bakery; 2 banks; a butchers; a hairdressers; a souvenier shop; 6 restaurants in town and 5 on the slopes; 5 bar/cafes and 2 bar/discos; a relaxation centre offers swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi, steam room and massage treatments; Tourist Information Office; Taxi service; garage/petrol station. Resident Doctor; nearest hospital is Sion, 10km away.

Booking notes
A 50% non-returnable deposit is payable on booking with the balance due 6 weeks before the holiday. In the event of cancellation less than 6 weeks beforehand the whole amount will be due. A returnable deposit is also required to cover any breakages, etc. We do not provide any form of travel insurance cover and recommend that you take out your own travel insurance. A local 'Taxe de Sejours' of approx £1 per adult per day and 50p per day.

A great ski week - superb weather and powder snow - blue skies. Apartment very comfortable and well equipped. What a view!!!! For adventurous skiers the run from the top of the Greppon Blanc over the back to Eteygeon is a classic! The C family in Jan.

Hi, We are Clare and Rosie. We have been great friends for over 17 years and approx 8 years ago decided to buy our first overseas apartment together. Clare lives in Hampshire and Rosie lives with her husband and son in the New Forest. As we both work in a customer facing environment, we know how important it is to give excellent customer service and we like to make sure that we give excellent service to our guests too. We try to think of everything you might ask and include answers in our website or emails that we send. We also try to include anything you might need in our apartments so that we make your holiday as wonderful as we can.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We fell in love with our apartment the moment we walked into the lounge. WOW! What a view from our balcony! It is stunning, awesome, breathtaking, indescribable by day & at night, every night feels as special as Christmas Eve -even in the summer- because the lights on Nendaz mountain twinkle making it look like one big christmas tree. The village is charming & unspoilt; uncommercial yet with all the restaurants and shops you need. All the villagers are friendly & most speak english. The skiing is FANTASTIC! Over 400kms. Brilliant for all abilities. Excellent ski school. In summer the mountain paths and bisses are wonderful to walk or bike along. We have skied and travelled in many alpine resorts worldwide & Veysonnaz definitely has the best of everything.

Unique benefits of the property
Again, we have to say our view - it is spectacular! If you read our testimonials on our website, you'll see that nearly everyone mentions it! Our property is just down from the high street so close for all the restaurants and shops. Veysonnaz is under 2 hours drive from Geneva and our apartment has its own parking space. The parking at the gondola is free too.
