Long weekends are acceptable & changeover days can be variable. We offer short stay holidays at very reasonable rates with a minimum of 2 nights. We would prefer arrival times to be before midnight and departure times after 7am especially in winter
Bedroom with 2 single beds.Wardrobe, set of drawers for clothing , 2 armchairs,bedside units and wall light. Windows with mosquito nets. Extra adults can be accommodated in main house-own bedroom,with en-suite on bed only or B&B basis for a larger group.
Separate exclusive half tiled bathroom with shower & wc. Hot water,always available is supplied by a wall mounted gas boiler & electric panel heater for the winter. Bath,hand towels, shampoo,conditioner & hair dryer are also supplied as are pool towels.
The kitchen is equipped with gas cooker 4 ring hob,sink and drainer, fridge/freezer. microwave, kettle, toaster etc. A washing machine & an oven are available within our summer kitchen. All kitchen utensils, pans etc & cleaning materials are supplied.
Washing machine & large cooker with oven are situated in the summer kitchen area to the side of the house. A full sized ironing board & a small ironing board & iron are supplied with outside clothes airer and extra lines for drying your clothes.
Near the pool is an extended outside covered lounge area with a 2 & 3 seater settee,armchair, table & coffee table. Within the apartment- 2 armchairs,a TV with videos and films for viewing at leisure, no charge. Plus cards, dominoes and a jigsaw.
The studio has a portable gas fire for cooler nights. Sleeping in the outside terrace can be arranged in the summer. Double room with en suite is available for letting within the main house. Please e mail for details quoting other room.
We supply all bedding, hand,bath and pool towels. Also, shampoo, conditioner and a hair dryer. Towels and bedding are changed upon request.
Cleaning services also available on request.
Shopping can also be purchased in advance for you if you prefer.

Important notes on accommodation
Private, own access. Bank Holidays are free i.e. no charge-or an extra day free. Bathroom has electric panel heating & the studio a gas bottle fire. The single beds when pushed together as a double can be supplied with a double sheet & duvet for extra comfort. There is a small dining table with chairs for indoor dining & a good supply of videos,dominoes,cards & books for your use.Holidays of 1 week or more will receive a welcome pack of,bread, butter,jam,coffee,tea,milk,sugar,fruit juice,yogurts & bottle of wine. The studio is totally secluded & very private with sun loungers, easy chairs, table & chairs near the BBQ area. A choice of 4 seating areas, the cool sunken patio .An extra bedroom is available in the main house based on B&B or bed only basis. This bedroom has en suite with a shower. Prices on request. About the area
Access through private gated entrance with parking. The property itself is quite flat but the pool would be difficult for disability access. However if not wanting use of the pool the surrounding area is quite flat with only one or two steps to the bathroom. People with a walking stick could access this area quite easily. Our main gardens planted with orange, lemon, figs is also available for walkabouts as is our vegetable garden. Fresh veg can be picked when available according to season.
The outside of the apartment features a rustic lounge with a BBQ area & an outside hob for total outdoor cooking & a pool for exclusive use of the guests. There is also an outside shower close to the pool. The apartment has 2 secluded patio areas & there is a roof terrace to enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. The gardens planted with evergreen & tropical plants are green all year round & offers seclusion & total privacy. The terrace & patio areas to the apartment have a garden swing, a 2 seater & a 3 seater settee as well as armchairs offering comfortable seating areas as well as a choice of outside tables for eating out. There is a choice of outside lighting in & around the pool & terrace areas. The side entrance can be closed offering seclusion at all times. The perfect place for a complete change, relaxation & rest. The house offers a secure gated entrance & parking within and your own private access. A large cooker-oven, and washing machine are also available
The nearest beach is Torremolinos approx 1 hour drive away.
Offering a wide selection of beach bars as well as a good selection of shops and a typical coastal walkway for the energetic. The beaches are sandy and very clean and offer the usual sunbeds and parasols, also beach showers to wash away the unwanted sand at the end of the day. Fish restaurants are located along the beach front offering a good selection of food. Beach front parking is also available in many areas and usually free.
Antequera Golf - approximately 40 minutes away. Day visitors welcome plus offers restaurant facilities. Other Golf courses are available at Torremolinos and along the Costa Del Sol.
Granada is the nearest ski resort.
Special Interest Holidays
Because of the privacy our gardens offer we accept naturists as well as regular holiday makers. Trips can be arranged to local beauty spots. Coach trips are available to Gibraltar from the coastal area of Torremolinos or coin. This area is exceptional for the walker with hills and dales to lose yourself in while only a stones throw from the villages, shops etc.Rock climbing is easily accessible from us. Valle de Abdalajis being the nearest at only 15 minutes away while El Chorro is only 25 minutes where you can hire canoes and pedaloes to explore the lakes from the water.Horse riding is available locally. This area is of particular interest to rock climbers especially El chorro, El Torcal & Valle de Abdalajis. Recently we have had interest from bird watchers as so many different species can be found in this region with its peacefulness it is a perfect location. Our roof terrace offers a good viewing point to most of the valley as well as a lovely night hot spot to sit above the pool.
How to get there
The apartment is approx 55 minutes from Malaga airport on mainly good tarmac roads and 1 hour 15 minutes from Granada airport passing through the Historic town of Antequera. Due to location a car hire would be essential. Car hire on the internet offers good deals for advance bookings. Travelling from Malaga you bypass Alora castle on your left on your way to us coming into beautiful countryside with outstanding views not to be missed. We are located 8 kilometers from Valle De Abdalajis off A343.
The nearest village Valle de Abdalajis 8K and Alora approx 14km away. Antequera Old Town 40 minutes away. El Chorro-rock climbing, lakes and National Park 25 minutes.
El Torcal - prehistoric mountain range, again ideal for Rock Climbers-with a stunning view for many miles around.
Wolf Park- varied species can be seen 15-20 minutes.
Local restaurants offer a 3 course meal from 7E only 15 minutes drive plus tapas bars 15-20 minutes drive. Villages have a weekly market with some local produce.
A welcome package on arrival. Throughout Spain most supermarkets are not open on Sundays and Valle de aAbdalajis and Alora offers the closest large Supermarket for your essentials, Alora does offer a small supermarket open on Sunday mornings. The local church in Valle de Abdalajis holds mass on Sundays at 11.30. Many restaurants offer Menu of the Day ranging from 7 Euros for a 3 course lunch with a drink included. There are also a couple of buffet restaurants offering eat as much as you like from 7.50 euros per person, these are at Pizzara and Churriana. There are two or three internet cafes in Alora (at least 1 English) locally. Please ask for details. Fresh fish and meat along with vegetables can be purchased daily from Valle De Abdalajis, but also we have a local bread person who can deliver fresh bread daily if you prefer. For the family a great day out is a visit to the lakes, picnic, pedal boating or canoeing plus swimming in crystal clear waters followed by a drink and a meal in the restaurant. Ending the day with a short walk to star gaze before heading back home. On the other hand, why go out all the time. Why not just relax by the pool and soak up the sun and peacefulness that we can offer and just treat yourself to a meal in the evening. There is a Chinese restaurant in Alora & Antequera along with other bars and restaurants. Curry houses can be found in the Coin & Churriana region. We have so much to offer you need look no further for the perfect holiday to re-charge those batteries, we guarantee you wont want to leave this fantastic location once you have tasted the spoils of our countryside. Almost hidden in the Valley and the olive trees it really is splendid. So come and enjoy some extra sun and countryside with the peacefulness that the valley offers for yourselves.
Payment can be by cheque/cash. A £50 deposit paid upon booking secures your holiday.Non refundable. Balance payable 6 weeks before date of arrival. All cheques made payable to me direct (name supplied) an email address to send you directions from the airport would be quick and easy for all. We now have Internet at the house should you wish to collect e-mails or make any necessary contacts to family etc.
For late bookings arrangements can be made for the balance to be paid in cash on arrival.

About the Owner
Hello out there, We are a retired couple who brought this property in 2001 but didn't move here till later. The property needed a lot of work doing to it but now we hope we have achieved our goal. We have included a small apartment to the rear of our property to accommodate people like yourselves who appreciate the quiet life. We moved here from the Isle of Wight and found this place so peaceful and the countryside so stunning we couldn't resist it. We have one cat a keep a few chickens. I (Dot) like to do the gardening but its a bit slow and Frank likes to read.We have a small pool and have designed the area around it to be totally secluded to offer full privacy to all our guests. We are loving the life we live and want to offer others the chance to share this beautiful area we have found

Why this location?
We brought this property as a challenge but with the view of making it work for us and hopefully provide a small income for us until we reached retirement age. The house is in a valley with stunning views from all the surrounding area, there a few other houses within easy reach so we do have neighbours if we want them. The villages are about 9k from the house which means we don't get any problems with teenagers or groups of drinkers etc during the high season. We are located in the countryside which seems to suit our clients very well. The ideal spot to cut off and totally chill out from your stressful job back home. We have a secure house with ample parking but never find the need to go out much everything we need (except food) is right here. Its great chilling out in the evenings.
What are the unique benefits of the property?
The benefits for us are the peace and quiet that other properties cannot offer. Also being able to go up on the terrace in the evening and watch the sun go down , is beautiful. We do have a small pool, for us its enough to cool off in the peak of the summer season, (who wants to swim themselves silly when its 40 degrees). Although we do have neighbours we are lucky in the way the house and our planning has created a totally private area for total relaxation. Something not many properties can offer these days. Most of the properties around us are Spanish week-end only houses so there are not many people or much noise come to that in this beautiful spot. This is one of the main reasons we are here. The neighbours are here if you need them but we keep pretty much to ourselves. We love it here
