Coast/Beach
Two minute walk to the beaches of the Mediterranean and the Marmenor. The La Manga strip is a unique feature in Europe, 21 km of land with sandy beaches and sea on both sides. You are never more than a few metres from the sea and it is difficult to imagine a more idyllic place for lovers of water sports, marinas and beaches. Because of the large expanse of coastline the beaches (including many blue flag) never get over populated even in the height of summer.
Golf
20 minutes from the famous La Manga club and its three championship courses. 5 mins away is a 9 hole pitch and putt and driving range. Other courses such as Mosa Trajectum, Roda, La Torre and many others are within easy reach.
How to get there
Nearest airport: Murcia San Javier (40mins) Alicante (90 mins). Airport transfers can be arranged.
Although not essential a hire car is useful and parking is available on the complex.
Distances
The historic towns of Cartegena and Murcia are in easy reach. Cabo de Palos, a fishing village, is twenty minutes away and has some great fish restauarants as well as a large open air market several days a week.

There is a supermarket on the complex which sells fresh bread, meat and fish for those that enjoy self catering or there are wide varieties of great restaurants and bars locally and around the marina to choose from. The region of Murcia is a beautiful part of Spain locally known as the market garden of Spain as the rich soil, irrigation techniques and warm climate make it ideal for growing all types of fruit and vegetables. Murcia has many unspoilt beaches along the Costa Calida (known as the warm coast). The region boasts 320 days of sunshine per year and average temperatures of 17 degrees in the winter and 27 degrees in the summer months.
The Marmenor is Europe's largest lagoon which maintains a warm sea temperature in whatever stage of the year with an average of 18 degrees. The Romans and Arabs built thermal baths around the coast and to this day people visit the area for the therapeutic properties of the bathing. There are also pockets of therapeutic mud which is sought after (mainly by the Spanish) to cover their bodies and bake in the sunshine which is very good for skin problems, rheumatism and arthritic conditions. It is a very amusing sight! The waters are rich in iodine and never get deeper than 7 metres and with an absence of tides it makes for a natural swimming pool and a haven for water sports such as jet skis, kite surfing, sailing boats and fishing. The warm crystal clear waters, shallow shore lines and beach inflatables attract many families in the summer months.
This is a unique location in Europe because where else could you see the sunrise over one sea (the Mediterranean) and set over another sea (the Mar Menor).
Booking notes
Cleaning and Linen Hire charge:- 60 Euros is payable on arrival to the housekeeper for cleaning, bed linen and towels.
Please bring your own beach towels.
£100 deposit required to reserve dates which is then held as a security deposit and refunded after your stay.This is required on all bookings.
Balance of rental payment is required two months prior to arrival.
Meet and greet service is included. Welcome pack of essential items can be arranged on request and airport transfers on request.
