Important notes on accommodation
The villa is mainly open-plan, light and airy with floor to ceiling windows in the living room, a wood burning fire and plenty of places to sit and admire the views. On the first level is the entrance leading to the dining/lounge area and kitchen. The living room is on the same level as the master bedroom, with a further 3 bedrooms on the ground floor adjacent to the swimming pool. All bedrooms have sea and mountain views, and bathrooms with rain showers. The studio / bedroom 5 is located the lower garden level and has a separate entrance and garden area for privacy. This is ideal for nannies, teenagers or couples wanting their own space on a family holiday.

About the area
There are stairs from the gate down to the villa and stairs inside the villa, down to living space and bedrooms.
Peaceful, secluded gardens, patio, terraces and private pool (10m x 8m). Outside there are two covered terraces with tables and chairs for luncheon or dinner alfresco. The main eating area seats 8 and has a parasol for shade. The double hammock is under the lemon trees on the lower garden along with table and chairs to sit and enjoy another view. The cellar / laundry room is home to the washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board. You will also find the BBQ and a cupboard containing outdoor glasses and a wine fridge. We also have a full size table tennis table. There is a garage for one car and plenty of space to park alongside the property.
10 minute drive to the wide sandy beaches of Fuengirola and Costa Mijas.
There are several well known golf courses nearby, the closest is Le Cala which is also a health and spa resort. We are approximately 10 - 20 minutes away from 3 courses. We can organise your golf for you.
We have a chalet in the ski resort Sierra Nevada, please enquire. We are 1 hour 45 minutes from the ski resort and offer a transfer and bespoke holiday package for those who want ski.

How to get there
20 minutes drive to Malaga airport
Two minutes walk into Mijas village, 10 minutes drive into Fuengirola town, 20 minutes drive into Malaga and 20 minutes drive to Marbella
There is a wide variety of shops and restaurants in Mijas village, as well as banks and supermarkets. Mijas is full of wonderful Tapas bars, eating places and bars which are fabulous to sit and people watch. A regular bus service into Fuengirola for those who do not want to drive.

About the Owner
I moved to Mijas 12 years ago having bought Casa Ventura in 2000. It was always my ambition to redesign the villa to enable me to run a boutique retreat Bed & Breakfast which opened in summer 2008.
Before moving to Spain I owned two businesses, one specialising in packaging design in the perfume industry and the second was an interior design business.
My passion is 60's & 70's furniture and design. I have
collected several beautiful pieces over the years which is reflected in the new look of Casa Ventura along with trips to Bali which had a great influence upon the design of Casa Ventura.
I run Casa Ventura with my partner Jayne and dogs Uma and Bibi, who bring great joy to us and our guests. Bibi even has her own Facebook page which was started by an enthusiastic client in 2011!!

Why this location?
I have been visiting the Costa del Sol for over 20 years and decided I wanted a home in Spain. Mijas was perfect for me as it was walking distance to everything, 15 minutes from the airport and the views were spectacular. I found Casa Ventura and knew it would be forever. The culture, wines and traditional values still remain true in Mijas village today. It is still very much a working village as well as a tourist attraction. There is a huge choice of restaurants, tapas bars and cultural activities without the need to leave the village
What are the unique benefits of the property?
From the moment you walk through the gates, the view is breathtaking and a million miles from chaos, secluded gardens are surround by a wall offering complete privacy. 15 minutes from Malaga airport, 2 minute walk into the village of Mijas and 10 minutes by car to the nearest beach.
