Local train and bus services available from Alora town whilst Malaga Airport is just a 40 minute drive. Also, a high speed train link is now open linking Malaga to Cordoba and beyond. Owners live on site and are always happy to help in any way to make your stay a memorable one. A peaceful, fabulous setting - an ideal base for that 'get away from it all' holiday. Notes on accommodation
Pool occasionally used by owners and other guests. Welcome pack provided on arrival to include: bathroom essentials, ie shampoo, soap, shower gel, toilet tissue. Kitchen essentials: i.e. coffee, tea, fresh bread, milk, butter, eggs, jam, bottled mineral water, wine.
Accessibility
Whilst there are many stairways both to the apartment and around the property, people with mobility problems or persons with disabilities are more then welcome. We are not completely equipped but we will do our best to make your stay as pleasant as we can.
Outside
Set within 3 acres this property sits amongst, natural rustic land, with breathtaking views of countryside surrounded by mountains. 1 large terraced area with a 12m x 6m private pool, and 2 terraces with barbecue and outdoor furniture, and a covered eating area.
Coast/Beach
The beaches are a 45 mins drive away starting from Malaga to Estepona. There is a train service from Alora to the coast via Malaga. 30 minutes from Costa Del Sol.
Gibraltar, with its duty free shopping and breathtaking scenery is just two hours away - a unique 'British' experience!
Golf
Alhaurin, Antequerra and Mijas Golf are all about an hour's drive away.
Skiing
Sierra Nevada skiing approx 1.5 hour's drive.

If you are looking for peaceful holiday in a beautiful, tranquil setting without the usual 'loud' tourist attractions then this is exactly what we offer. However, the accomodation is suitable for adults only.
Travel
Malaga is the nearest airport and is about 40 mins drive. There is a train service to Alora from the airport via Malaga but to appreciate the area a car is necessary. Car hire available at Malaga airport.
Distances
Alora is a 10 mins drive from the valley. A further 35 mins drive inland is the famous El Chorro lakes and mountains. A new high speed train service from Malaga means Cordoba and beyond is within easy reach.
Further details
Alora is a typical spanish 'Pueblo Blanco' (White Village) built on three spurs with a Moorish castle, steeped in history. Alora also has some fantastic boutiques, bars and restaurants, a full medical centre, post office and numerous banks (banks only open Monday - Friday 8.30 - 2.00pm) A large supermarket in the town is open Monday - Saturday from 9.15 am - 9.15 pm. The local surrounding area is covered by national parks, historical sites and local cultural activities.

50% non-returnable deposit payable on booking. Balance payable on arrival either in £ Sterling or in Euros at prevailing Rate. A security deposit of £100 cash (or Euro equivalent) will be taken on arrival, which is returned if no damage is incurred. The owner reserves the right to amend prices at their discretion. After many years of Gite and Apartment holidays throughout France and Spain, when the opportunity came to 'have a go' ourselves, we jumped at it.
After an extensive search throughout both France and Spain, we centred our search on Southern Spain - the stunning climate sealed the deal for us.
Wanting to offer something different from the usual 'Costa' holiday so typical of Southern Spain, we narrowed our search to the beautiful Inland Costa Del Sol Area around the old Market Town of Alora.
We fell in love with Casa Harriet on first sight, its tranquil setting and breathtaking views, coupled with convenient location made it the perfect home for us - we live on the Ground Floor of the Farmhouse - and the ideal property to offer luxury holiday accommodation.

Our substantial upgrading and refurbishment programme since 2005 now enables us to offer Luxury Accommodation and superb Swimming Pool so that our guests have the option of not only enjoying exploring this stunning part of Andalucia, but also of just chilling in the tranquil and private setting.
If you don't mind peace and quiet, only disturbed by the occasional clanging of the bells on the goat herd as their owner walks them around the surrounding countryside, then give us a try!
