On the outskirts of Torrevieja, this modernised air-conditioned apartment is situated in Lago Jardin - a beautifully laid out complex of two-storey buildings with lovely mature gardens and trees throughout tucked away from the main roads. The large communal pool with a Spanish bar / restaurant adjoining is only two minutes’ walk away. In the same area is a pretty public garden with a small church and also a tennis court. A major supermarket is 4 minutes walk away and a community centre with supermarket, numerous shops and restaurants is within 20 minutes walk. Superb blue-flag beaches are ten minutes away by car. The bedroom is air-conditioned, there is a large portable fan, a room heater and a bathroom radiator. The Satellite TV is set up for UK channels.

American-style kitchen: (click "display more photos" above to view) cooker (4 rings + oven); fridge, washing machine, microwave, kettle, toaster, filter coffee machine etc. Lots of cupboards. Crockery, utensils and tea towels provided.
Comfortable sofa plus two wicker armchairs. Satellite TV with UK channels, DVD Player and CD Clock Radio as well as Powered Speakers (which can be plugged into an MP3 player).
Dining room/conservatory with dining table and four chairs and double-glazed sliding doors.
The apartment will be cleaned before your arrival, with clean bedding and towels supplied, but not beach towels.

The apartment is on the ground floor with just 2 steps up from the garden to the accommodation. There are no ramps for wheelchair access. The car parking area is about 50 yards away on the service road.
Small Patio with Garden chairs. Garden: Available for sitting out. Folding table and garden chairs. There are beautiful gardens all around the complex and a small church is also available to use (weekly Anglican service on Saturdays at 6pm). Tennis courts, a lending library and a barbecue area are also available. The bar/restaurant is next to the pool, with a life guard on duty in high season. The pool is usually open all year round but this is not guaranteed. A Mercadona supermarket is 4 minutes walk away on the other side of the main road. The community centre is a 20 minute walk away, with banks, shops, bars and restaurants catering to all tastes.
Important notes on accommodation
Mosquito netting is fitted to all windows and main front door. No Smoking please in any of the rooms including the conservatory. No pets please. The apartment is ideally suited to couples.

Notes on prices
Prices are in UK Pounds Sterling for the whole property per week (not per person) and include cleaning and fresh laundry provided at the beginning of your stay. Second and subsequent weeks are charged £30 less per extra week. Shorter stays are sometimes available but prices will not be pro-rata because cleaning and laundry have to be provided for even short lets.
Changeover dates are usually flexible although Saturday is the most common. Guests are requested to vacate by 10:30am if new people are arriving the same day – check with owners. Arrival time is normally 4pm onwards – also check with the owners please.
A non-refundable deposit of £100 is due at the time of booking to secure the dates required. The balance is due 4 weeks before the holiday date, plus a £50 refundable deposit against breakages or loss of keys. All bookings will be confirmed by email. The breakage deposit will be returned within 2 weeks after receipt of the keys less any breakages.

About the area
The local beaches hold blue flags for cleanliness, the nearest being about 10 minutes drive away. There are a wide variety of beaches, from those in Torrevieja town and marina, to the beautiful beaches at La Zenia and Cabo Roig. The latter area is particularly good for coastal walking.
For golf enthusiasts, Torrevieja is within easy drive of the golf courses at Villamartin (10-20 mins), Las Ramblas (15-25 mins), Campoamor (15-25 mins), La Finca (15-25 mins) and Golf and Country Club La Marquesa (15 mins).
How to get there
Murcia airport (San Javier) is nearest at 30 minutes drive away. Alicante airport is 50 minutes. Both airports are served by budget airlines such as Easyjet, Ryanair, Jet2 and Monarch. We advise hiring a car from the airport. Car Hire is the recommended option for getting about. Alternatively, airport transfers can be arranged at extra cost - please ask the owners.
The apartment is on the outskirts of Torrevieja, which has bars, clubs and restaurants to suit all ages and tastes as well as a marina, beaches and promenade. It is a 10 minute drive to the commercial centre, with Carrefour and other hypermarkets and numerous shopping centres, cinemas, bowling alleys, restaurants and aquapark. There are local buses approx 4 minutes walk away - costs approx €1.50 to Torrevieja town centre. Buses can also be taken to some of the beaches and beauty spots.
There are many fascinating places to visit within easy reach, such as Guadalest, a tiny mountain village with only 200 inhabitants, yet one of the most visited tourist destinations in Spain. There is a nature reserve on the other side of the salt lake. Orihuela is a lovely, very Spanish town 30 minutes drive away, and Murcia is well worth a day visit with its old Casino, University and general ambience of Spanish city life with restaurants, Tapas bars etc. Please note the owners are available via email for any queries that you may have during your stay. There are internet or wifi facilities at many local bars and restaurants.

"Car not necessary"
Lovely, clean and well equipped apartment. Located in a quiet area with communal swimming pool. Even in height of summer season is not over crowded; with a bar for drinks and food, that are reasonably priced. If you do not want to venture too far, there is no need for a car; but if you like the beach, it's only a 20-30 minute bus ride away! This bus goes into Torrevieja town - line E. Either get off at the first beach you see or stay on bus to bus station and carry on walking straight ahead, you will come to more beaches, shops and restaurants. Supermarket just 10 minutes walk away; bars and restaurants an extra 5 minutes walk. All restaurants serve very good food and are not expensive - You can get a 3 course meal for 7.50 euros! Our favourite was Manuel's, they do a fresh paella (has to be ordered 24 hours in advance) which was one of the best meals we had. If you can get paella same night, it is from the freezer! If you like to venture out get a car, but there are more buses from the hospital up the road. Make sure you print off a map if you haven't been there before - it can be hard to find, especially at night!
