Owned & carefully restored by an English couple who retired to Spain in 2001, it now provides the setting for a different kind of holiday experience that is proving more & more popular with people from all walks of life. If you are 1 of the many who are fed up with package holidays and the hectic rush of commercial tourism, then we could have just the place for you. Enjoy the 360 degree views, olive groves, almond trees and beautiful peace. Relax in the swimming pool or outdoor Jacuzzi, lounge around or top-up your tan in the hot sun. We are situated just 1 hours drive from Malaga airport and 15 minutes from the beautiful mountaintop village of Comares.

Notes on accommodation
The Stables is a fully self-contained apartment which has been restored keeping many original features such as log beams, cane roofing and rendered stone walls.
There are views across the mountains on 1 side and to the courtyard on the other.
The Hayloft is, as the name suggests, a traditional hayloft which has been converted into an open-plan, split level apartment. The top floor lounge has views across the courtyard and mountains, the double bedroom is on the mid-floor and the kitchen and shower room are on the ground floor. As with all of Lagar Ruvira, the original features such as log beams, stone walls and cane roofing have been kept wherever possible. Kitchen facilities include fridge, hob, microwave, toaster and kettle.
Accessibility
Not suitable for people with mobility problems due to the terrain.
Outside
The courtyard is the centre of Lagar Ruvira, having all the apartments and facilities built around it. There is access to all apartments, and features include an alfresco dining area, a purpose-built stone barbecue, original stone and cobbles, plus orange, lemon and jasmine trees. There is also a shady secluded area we call 'Thinkers Corner' which is next to the pool area. This area contains a pleasure pool (length 7.4m, depth 1.2m, widest point 3.3m), with mountain views in the background, sunloungers and of course a patio and dining area.
Coast/Beach
Torre del Mar is the nearest coast/beach and is approximately 45 minutes drive.
Golf
Golf 45 mins Torre Delmar.
Travel
Malaga airport is approximately 1 hours drive.
Car hire is essential and companies can be recommended by the owner but must be arranged and booked by yourselves.

Comares 15 mins.
Further details
The village of Comares is a 15 minute drive and provides bars, and restaurants, a local shop which caters for all your needs, and some breathtaking views. Los Ventorros has a bar which is very popular with locals and visitors alike and is very friendly; there is also an Aladdin's cave craft shop next door. Velez Malaga is approximately 30 minutes drive away and has a shopping centre, cinema, supermarkets and a water park. Torre del Mar is the nearest beach resort and has beach cafes, tapas bars & restaurants. If you want to go further afield, then Cordoba and Malaga are within 1 hours drive. Granada & Alhambra are just over 1 hour and Seville is approximately 2 hours away. Other resorts within 1 hour away are Benalmadena, Marbella, Torrox, Fuengirola, Torremollenos and Arroyo. Someone will always be there to greet you at the start of your holiday. There will be a starter pack provided which includes bread, milk, orange juice, bottled water, wine and beer, butter or margarine, eggs, bacon, tea and coffee, jam, sugar and cornflakes or similar cereal. Additional items are available at extra cost.
