Prices quoted for one person, per night/week. Add 10 - 20 euros per night for second person. 10% discount for 7 nights stay. Changeover day
Changeover day is flexible. An approx time of arrival if known, would be appreciated. At busy times, 12 midday checkout and 3pm arrival to allow for cleaning. Luggage can be safely stored. Guests with late departure times may hold room for 25 euro.

| The Garden Cottage is a peaceful home from home. It is beautifully furnished and has everything you need for a holiday or longer stay. Perfect for romantic breaks, honeymoons and is a relaxing retreat from the outside world. Ideal for people considering relocating to Spain. As enjoyable during the winter months when the sun lounge and terrace benefit from the Costa del Sol winter sun. It has a sun lounge with large picture windows looking on to the garden and patio doors to it΄s own private terrace and garden. Large sofa and round dining table (seats 4). Sony TV/video with UK satellite and stereo equipment. Cable or WiFi internet included. Washing m/c, hairdryer, ironing facilities. The large bedroom has twin or king size beds and quality cotton bed linen. The separate bathroom has a walk-in shower, sink, WC, washing machine. Notes on accommodation
Quality towels and bedlinen changed weekly. We provide beach towels and sun parasols free of charge. Smoking in outside areas only. The roof sun terrace with 360 views of Mediterranean and mountains is perfect for sunbathing and relaxing. The Patio Apartment and the Garden Cottage share a separate front street entrance and the Andalucian courtyard - good for families or friends who want to holiday together. Free WiFi.
Accessibility
The Patio Apartment has double glazed entrance doors and wide doors to street entrance. There are just 2 steps up on the garden path. The WC has a narrow door however.
Outside
Sun beds available in garden and roof terrace with views of Mediterranean sea and mountains. Table on roof terrace also for sundowners. Garden hammock.
Coast/Beach
Cabopino Port family beach is a few minutes walk with good swimming and water sports. Las Dunas Nature Beach is also on your doorstep. Many more beaches within close walking distance, with choice of good beach restaurants and bars.
Golf
Adjacent to Cabopino golf course and within a short walk of the driving range. Many other golf courses close by. Santa Maria Golf is 5-10 mins drive and Marbella Golf Club just a little further at 15 mins drive. The Mijas Costa Golf Clubs are about 20 mins drive along the coast.
Skiing
Sierra Nevada ski resort near to Granada is around 2 hours drive.

Travel
Malaga airport is 35 mins drive. A direct bus runs from the airport to Marbella Bus Station. There is a good rail link from the airport to Fuengirola centre. There is an excellent bus service along the coast. We are a few mins walk from the nearest bus stops. Personal airport collection and delivery can be arranged. Casa Madden guests can enjoy 15% discount plus other benefits, on hire car rental from Helle Hollis.
Distances
Puerto Banus exclusive yacht marina is 20 mins drive. Marbella is 12km and Fuengirola is 14km. Cabopino is just 5 mins walk. Mijas is 15 mins drive. Malaga is 35 mins drive. Gibraltar is about 45 mins drive on the Autopista. A bit further afield for sightseeing are Granada (The Alhambra), Seville and Jerez de la Frontera (Andalusian horses) are about 2 hours drive. Further down the coast past Gibraltar, Tarifa has great beaches and surfing, about 1 hours drive.

Wow what a special holiday. The place was amazing so peaceful, relaxing and a little piece of paradise. Jane and Derek were wonderful hosts and could not have done more for us. If it wasn't for the warmest welcome ever, their expertise and knowledge our holiday would not have been the same. They were on hand when needed but never intrusive.
We would also recommend most definately hirng a car and again through Jane by using her homeowners club code with Helli Hollis we got the best deal from them and they were very professional and we have nothing but praise for their service.
The Garden Cottage was such a home from home. The views were superb and the roof terrace is so lovely for a quiet chilled out afternoon in the sun.
We have been on holiday many times but have never felt the need to write a review but this holiday was so special we have written our first.

About the owner
I am lucky enough to be the resident owner here at 'Casa Madden'. I live here all year round, together with a few 4 footed best friends. I really enjoy welcoming guests to the house. It's great to see how much people relax here and enjoy the garden, the natural surroundings and of course, the local beaches. I am always on hand to share local info about restaurants, travel etc so guests get the most from their stay. I regularly hear things like 'I wish we were staying longer' and 'we will be back!' which really says it all.

Why the owner chose a guest house in this location
The first time I entered 'Casa Madden' I just knew I had to make it mine - it was love and I was spellbound. Dilapidated and in need of much care but after nine months of refurbishment work the first guests arrived and ever since, everyone who has stayed, has enjoyed the same 'Casa Madden' magic that I felt that first day. Set amongst pines with nothing but nature and the Mediterranean Sea to look at, no buildings to spoil the view and the wonderful mountains behind - it has the 'wow' factor. The garden has a tropical feel and blends into the natural surroundings here. It's so peaceful and uplifting - quite addictive really!

If you want to really 'chill' and enjoy time out in a lovely home next to nature and the beach yet be in easy reach of Marbella and walking distance to Cabopino and great local restaurants then 'Casa Madden' is for you. This is a real paradise that you may want to keep a secret. Guests can also enjoy Raindrop Technique massage with 100% therapeutic essential oils here. This is a super relaxing treatment with effects lasting up to one week. I am also a Reiki practitioner and can combine Reiki with massage.
