Cortijo 'La Fuente' (meaning 'source' or 'spring') is a newly renovated, spacious stone cottage (single storey) surrounded by orange, lemon, avocado, almond, fig, cherry, plum and persimmon trees.It is a family home, only available for rent for a few months a year. This beautiful, organically-farmed smallholding is a short walk from the town of Orgiva; ideal for those evenings out when you fancy a relaxing evening in town without the car. With its own pool, set amongst fruit and olive trees, you can choose to soak up the sun or lie peacefully in a hammock on a shaded terrace.

Changeover day
Our usual changeover day is Thursday. Arrivals after 4pm and departures before 11am.

Bathrooms: Newly fitted bathroom and shower room.
Kitchen: Modern kitchen with gas cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, toaster, washing machine.
Living Rooms: Dining room/living room - very spacious with French windows, views of trees and hillside. Living room has sofa bed available for extra guests. Comfortable furniture.
Other: The kitchen and bedrooms all have views of garden and/or countryside.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Sheets and towels will be provided and will be changed on a weekly basis.
Washing machine or laundry service available.

 

Notes on accommodation
We have central heating and a woodburning stove. CD/radio, TV, DVD and video available. A welcome pack is provided for your arrival. We now offer long term Winter lets.
The price per week is £300 per week for a minimum of 3 months. The price is negotiable for a let of 3 to 6 months.
We have wheelchair access to the house and pool. Baby sitters can be arranged.

Skiing
The ski resort "Sol y Nieve" is approximately 1 hr and 20 mins drive away with ski passes and ski equipment easily available.

Travel
Granada Airport is the closest and is less than an hour's drive from Orgiva with Monarch airlines and Ryan Air usually offering the best deals.Car hire available at Granada Airport. Malaga airport - 2 hours. Car hire is recommended from Malaga or Granada airport in order to get the full benefit of all the area has to offer. However we can arrange taxi pick-ups from the airport if you prefer. Coaches do run from Malaga to Orgiva but this is quite time consuming. Details available on request.

Further details
We are situated 45 mins from the fascinating city of Granada with its spectacular Alhambra Palace, and in the same amount of time you can reach the Costa del Sol which has many quiet beaches as well as the better known and popular ones. Orgiva itself has a lively weekly market and many fiestas. There are 2 health food shops, several small supermarkets and a variety of Tapas bars and restaurants including a pizzeria, vegetarian options available in several restaurants, and a wonderful new restaurant called Cafe Libertad has just opened in town. The nearby Spa town of Llanjaron offers spring water on tap where you can fill up your own bottles as well as indulge in bathing and pampering treatments.

Booking notes
To book please make a bank transfer of £200 to our Cooperative bank account in the name of NJ Farrar Account no: 08 93 00 14411025. This is a holding deposit and is nonreturnable.The remainder of the rental price is to be paid 4 weeks prior to your arrival. When making the final payment please also send a cheque for £100 to Apdo 41, Correos, Orgiva 18400, Granada, Spain and this we will return to you when we have checked for any damage to the property.
