Salobrena is a pretty Moorish town right by the Mediterranean. It's surrounded by tropical plains and snow capped mountains can be seen from the beach! This very stylish 2 bed apartment sleeps 4 & has every modern convenience. Only 5 minutes to the beach & little tapas bars & restaurants. There is a grocery shop at the end of the street & the baker delivers crusty bread every morning! The unique sub-tropical climate makes this an ideal all year round holiday apartment. Come & sunbathe & ski on the same day! Amazing panoramic views from the swimming pool which is very private, being shared by just a handful of residents & one of only two pools in the whole of the historic quarter. Handy parking outside (a rarity in the old town!). All in all a great apartment, well located with an important history of happy guests! Notes on prices
Prices are per week for 2 people sharing 1 bedroom. For use of 2nd bedroom or each extra guest a charge of £25 per person per week applies.
A supplement of £50 applies to bookings of less than 2 weeks in July and August.
A refundable security/damage deposit of £100 is also payable.

Changeover day
Saturdays - but we will always try to accommodate other requests. Guests are requested to vacate by 11 a.m. unless otherwise agreed. In order to maintain our high standard of cleaning & presentation arriving guests are welcome from 4 p.m. onwards.

Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 has a pretty iron double bed, side tables, soft lighting, ceiling fan, large wardrobe. Doors open onto balcony.
Bedroom 2 has twin beds & wardrobe.
All beds have quality mattresses. Ample hangers in both rooms. Travel cot provided on request.
Bathrooms: Very stylish bathroom - fully tiled with walk-in shower, large twin hand basins, toilet, extractor fan, large mirror, socket points, glass shelves and variable lighting.
Quality bath towels and bathmat are provided along with hand soap and toilet paper.
Kitchen: Electric oven, gas hob, extractor, integral stainless steel fridge & full size freezer, 2 microwaves, automatic washing machine, large 'American diner' style breakfast bar with leather stools. Ample cupboard space & plenty of kitchen utensils & teatowels.
Utility Room: Steam iron and ironing board. Robust collapsible clothes airer with plenty of pegs.
Living Rooms: Spacious open plan lounge - huge leather corner sofa and cushions, big coffee table, bookcase and selection of books and DVDs for your enjoyment, storage chest, variable 'mood' lighting, ceiling fan, TV with English channels, DVD, CD/Radio.
Other: The balcony runs along the whole front of the apartment and has lovely views down to the beach and the 'El Penon' rock

All linens and towels are provided. Guests are requested to bring their own beach towels. The apartment is thoroughly cleaned before your stay and is always presented to an exceptional standard.

Notes on accommodation
50+ great guest reviews & much more. Electric radiators can be provided in winter months for a small extra cost. We believe the apartment to be suitable for children having had many guests stay with young babies and toddlers. Access to the main building is by key only and the apartment itself has an intercom/door release for the main entrance. Our neighbours are all 'year round' residents.

Outside
The apartment is in a quiet pretty street which has a palm tree & lots of colourful climbing flowers. The balcony has lovely views down to the beach, & a table and chairs for al-fresco breakfasts and candle lit suppers ! Hidden away just a few steps from the apartment is the elevated swimming pool with panoramic views across to the sea & mountains - very private, being shared by just a few residents, it is key access only and one of only two in the old town. The pool is open from 1 June till 30 September. Also just steps away is the little grocery shop on the corner of the street. There is parking outside the apartment.

Coast/Beach
Salobrena beaches 5 min walk from the apartment. Many beach bars plus loungers/umbrellas for hire.
Motril beach 5 min drive.
Torrenueva beach 10 min drive.
Calahonda & Carchuna beaches 15 min drive.
Castell de Ferro beach 20 min drive.
Almunecar beach 15 min drive.
In addition there are several small coves scattered along the coast road.

Golf
Los Moriscos beachside golf course in between Salobrena and Motril - 5 minute drive. Recently upgraded from 9 holes to 18.
Granada golf courses 45 minute drive.
Malaga golf courses 1 hour drive.

Skiing
Europes most southerly ski resort the 'Sol y Nieve' in the Sierra Nevada mountains is just an hours drive from Salobrena. For many months of the year you can ski then swim in the Med on the same day. Easily accessible with covered parking and many bars and restaurants. Day ski passes available - a good day out for all the family even if you don't ski as there are other activities available and the views are great.

Travel
Granada airport: 45 minutes
Malaga airport: 1 hour
Almeria airport: 1.5 hours

We recommend you hire a car, although not essential, & all our guests are eligible for a 15% discount with Helle Hollis car hire at Malaga. Air-conditioned buses run regularly to Salobrena from Granada and Malaga. Taxis are also available at all the airport

Distances
The beautiful renaissance city of Granada & its world famous Alhambra Palace is an easy 45 minute drive. The mountain villages of the Alpujarras (Lanjaron, Orgiva etc) are only 20 minutes away. Nerja & its famous caves approx 45 minutes and both Malaga & Almeria can be reached in approx 1 hr. Motril the neighbouring town is just 3 kms from Salobrena and is good for shopping and pavement cafes. The Lecrin valley is on the road to Granada and around 20 minutes by car.

Further details
Salobrena sits on a small rocky outcrop and is still unspoilt, although it has many bars, restaurants, banks and shops - there is a very large hypermarket 3 kms away. It is ideal for those seeking a peaceful, relaxing holiday away from the crowds. Rich in tradition and history there are many 'fiestas' and cultural activities throughout the year and dishes of 'tapas' are still served with your drinks ! Salobrena has a unique sub-tropical climate with over 300 days of sunshine a year, making it an ideal all year round holiday destination.
We leave all guests an information sheet on arrival, with recommendations and details of restaurants and places of interest to help make their stay an enjoyable one.

Booking notes
50% deposit payable at time of booking. Balance payable 6 weeks before arrival. A £50 supplement applies to bookings of less than 2 weeks in July and August. A refundable damage deposit of £100 is also payable. We accept payment in both GBP pounds sterling and euros.

Hi, I am Jayne and I bought our apartment in Salobrena in 2004. I have lived in our beautiful villa in Otura, Granada since 2005. Of course both our properties didn't always look like the photos...ask me to show you the before photos...!! But location, location, location they say...so I learned how to plaster, and lay bricks, and paint. And I thought I was coming to Spain for an easy life. Would I do it again? Never! Was it worth it? Oh yes! And all our guests seem to think so too.
