Rancho del Ingles has much to offer. There are three different houses on the property. La Casita, is over a century old while the rest of the property has evolved over the last 20 years. La Casita is a romantic setting for a couple or small family group while La Casa Grande, a few metres away is spacious, rustic yet grand, can accommodate 6/8. There is also a pool house with twin beds, shower and w/c, and two annexes, each with twin beds and en-suite shower/wc. The property is secluded but not isolated with many terraces and separate areas. Within the spacious grounds orange, lemon and avocado groves, woods, a stream and mature shrubs give a wonderful sense of well-being. The pool (with shallow end) is raised making it safer for toddlers. People of all ages love the space and freedom so much they often prefer to stay put than go exploring, but Granada, Cordoba and Seville are within 2 hours and the beach and white villages can be easily reached. Very handy for Malaga airport.

Accommodation
Check availability La Casa Grande (Sleeps 8. 4 Bedrooms)
This is an impressive house with many interesting features. a Massive, high ceiling reception room, wood burning fire and a dining area huge old pine table. To the side is a spacious kitchen with further dining and solid wood units with dishwasher, oven, microwave and washing machine.
Up the spiral staircase within the tower is a bedroom with double bed with en-suite shower-room which is outside (but protected from the elements) and is arguably one of the world's loveliest places to start the day.
On the top floor there is a twin bedded room with great views. (NB you must pass through the lower room to access the top room).
On the ground floor there is a raised Punjabi bed in the master bedroom which has dual aspect windows overlooking a stream and mature trees.
Next door a twin bedded rooms.
Outside there are several terraces, so you can chase the sun or the shade and a marble table beneath an old lemon tree provides an ideal spot for lunch or a barbecue in the evening.

This farmhouse was built in 1859 and has thick walls and rustic charm. It is built in typical Andalucian style with the bedroom unit, lounge and basic kitchen (with 4 ring stove, oven and fridge freezer) opening separately onto a shaded patio of jasmine and other fragrant flowers.
The twin bedded room and double bedroom share a shower room/wc.
There is a sunny terrace with a barbecue and the pool is just a few steps away from the bedroom door.
Perfect for a refreshing early morning swim or a cooling midnight swim in the summer. Two charming annexe rooms and a poolroom provide extra sleeping accommodation.
Each of these rooms has twin beds and their own shower room w/c.
Rental per annexe room is £75/£160/£200/£375 in low/mid/high/peak season.

Rancho del Ingles can be booked exclusively even if you do not need all the accommodation.
In addition to the 4 bedrooms of La Casa Grande and two bedrooms of La Casita there are three twin bedded annexe rooms and a spectacular space which we call El Estudio which can be used as a celebration room, or as a conference room for any kind of corporate or family event.
It has surround sound speakers, digital projector, screen, and Sky TV can be provided.
It has been used for weddings, parties, courses, yoga, meditation and other kinds of workshops.
The studio is a self contained unit with its own large double bed, fully fitted kitchen with induction hob, oven, dishwasher, and fridge and a shower room.

 

Check availability B&B at Rancho del Inglés
We are popular with guests wishing to stay on a Bed & Breakfast basis particularly as we are very close to the airport.
The best room available is offered for 80 euros for the first night and 60 euros for each subsequent night.
Continental breakfast is optional for 10 euros. Fresh, local and seasonal ingredients are used when possible.
Lunch and dinner can also be provided by prior arrangement.

 

Notes on accommodation
Heating and air conditioning is provided in some but not all of the rooms. Many children have enjoyed staying at Rancho del Ingles. Toddlers must be watched carefully as although there are no cliffs or very high terraces there are several sets of steps both in La Casa Grande and in the grounds. The pool has a shallow end of about 1metre.

Outside
The gardens are extensive and beautiful with new plantings alongside established old shrubs and trees. Figs, pomegranates, avocados, lemons, oranges, clementines, almonds, walnuts, loquats, cherimoya and herbs can be picked according to season. There are at least 10 sunbeds. The pool with shallow end is 10x5m and might be shared (please enquire). It has solar heating which helps a little in the cooler months depending on hours of sunshine. Both La Casa Grande and La Casita have barbecues and outside eating areas.

Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is about 10km. The Mediterranean coast stretches out in both directions. To the west is Marbella and Tarifa which is famous for its white sands and wind-surfing. To the east is Nerja where the coast becomes more rugged. It is easy to drive to the busy Costa del Sol and Malaga. Although Malaga is a city, it also has beaches.

Golf
We are about 5 minutes drive from Lauro Golf and a little further from Alhaurin Golf. The numerous courses of the coast are easily accessible.

Special interest holidays
We have hosted many courses including watercolour painting, psychology, satsangs and yoga and meditation retreats. Please check our own website for forthcoming events and special interest holidays. Our watercolour painting week usually runs for one week in early September.

Travel
Malaga airport is about 10km. Ferries can be taken to Morocco from Tarifa and Algeciras. Car hire is strongly recommended.

Distances
The nearest shops, bars and restaurants are in Alhaurin de la Torre which is 3km away. We are well located for visiting Granada, Seville and Cordoba (around 2 hours) and both inland and coastal destinations are easily reached due to our convenient location. The centre of Malaga can be reached by rail or car in around 30 minutes.

Booking notes
In order to secure dates we ask for a 20% deposit at time of booking. The remaining balance is payable no later than 6 weeks before arrival. We cannot accept credit or debit cards so payment should be by bank transfer, cheque or PayPal.
