This is a resort where you can BBQ, walk to eat at 4 different restaurants, enjoy a restful break with your family yet readily visit a number of key sites in a day. This is the select end of the costas where golf, walking, nature and beautiful beaches prevail over lively night life and noise. The golf club on site has live entertainment in season and at weekends. Summer creche and golf school for kids. Beach club membership and discounted green fees.

Air conditioned semi-detached villa on quiet cul-de-sac on golf course near Gibraltar, Jerez, Tarifa & White Towns. 10 mins drive to Sotogrande marina, sandy beaches, sports bars and nightlife/sea sports. Tranquil location with panoramic views. Older children can roam safely to tennis courts, driving range, riding school. Excellent shopping nearby, on-site mall/beauty salons 15 mins walk away. Private pool is good size, heated but not fenced, young children need constant supervision. The resort is peaceful with riding hacks/summer schools in season. Live entertainment summer nights but no disco on site, best nightlife 10 -30 mins by taxi Sotogrande marina, Gibraltar, Puerto Banus or Duquesa. Good local shopping malls, cinema and Carrefour. Easy access Gibraltar and North Africa coastline resorts for day trips or longer visits. Seville 75mins drive away an easy day trip too. Sailing school Alcaidesa 10 mins away. Walks and excellent protected terrains within 15 mins drive.

Accessibility
Ground floor double bedroom which can be accessed from the road via one low step at entrance. The doorway to the bedroom and en-suite wheel chair access to the bedroom door. The lounge and terraces/garden are all on the level and accessible through wide door openings across door ledges. Call for dimensions to be sure. Local mobility aid hire contact.
Outside
The house has a large covered ground floor terrace with comfortable seating & dining table for 8. Bed 1 has a very large secluded terrace with seating & sun beds overlooking the 13th tee. Bed 4 has a small terrace at the front of the property for relaxing out of the sunshine. The extensive third level roof terrace is not overlooked and provides for evening barbecues, & a wonderful vista. All terraces are flat, and well lit with seating and 1m high walls surrounding. The private pool 8x4m can be heated to 28 degrees. There is a Weber lidded BBQ on the terrace & a pool table on the veranda. The house is opposite a farm and overlooks rural landscape and the course on the 13 Tee.There is very comfortable seating inside & out and beach towels and all linen is supplied. A good welcome pack and 'home from home' arrival is our hallmark & has resulted in regular guests and repeat visits. Local guardians have been looking after guests for 3 years and making their holidays a success.
Coast/Beach
Nearest beaches at Sotogrande marina, Alcaidesa and Torreguadiaro 2-5km away. Sailing at Alcaidesa, Sotogrande,Gibraltar. 1st class sand/wind surfing at Tarifa 35 minutes. Golf
San Roque has hosted the PGA Spanish qualifying rounds this and last year. The new course is destined to be one of the top 5 courses in Spain. In 2007 the old course may become members only please note. On site golf school, buggy hire, driving range, clubhouse, caddies. The resident Golf-Pro Vicente Ballesteros on site. Valderrama, Almenara, Sotogrande, Alcaidesa and Duquesa courses are all within a 10 minute drive.
Skiing
Sierra Nevada 2.5 hours drive away for winter skiing access.
Special interest holidays
With prevailing Saharan winds this location in well placed for sea sports, hill cycling and walking with nature reserves and cycle routes across Andalucia in this unspoilt more rural location. There is an on site beauty salon at the clubhouse open to guests and other hair and nail salons within walking distance. A private dentist and doctors surgery is available on site too. Sailing, windsurfing, golf tuition & sand surfing is available in this region nearby. The Sotogrande Beach can be accessed on the beachfront for a daily charge and arranges childrens supervised activities. This is within a 15min drive and whilst not inexpensive provides for welcome relief for parents wanting a more company. The SRClub holds several musical events, golf days, pro am events, the Asprey Cup horse trials and other entertainment in season and at Xmas ask about events when booking. Other golf clubs and local hotels aslo offer spa and beachside resort facilities on a daily basis.
Travel
Malaga/Jerez airports 1 hour (motorways), easy relaxing journey. Gibraltar airport an easy 20 min drive/taxi from the border. Car recommended for longer stays. Ferry to North Africa close by for day trips.

San Roque golf resort restaurants open to public, Bets Western San Roque Hotel on site, Japanese, European and informal dining on resort in walking distance. Casino, takeaways, many other bars/restaurants (10 mins). Sotogrande (harbour, beach and marina) - sailing & sea sports (10mins). Gibraltar (20 mins), Jerez 1 hour,Seville 2.5 hrs. White Towns (30 mins/2 hours drive).

An area surrounded by mountains and wildlife, region with excellent golf courses, walking, birdwatching. Seasports and safe sandy beaches nearby. Located in a tranquil very upmarket location away from the nightlife of the Costa yet close to a variety of family friendly and top class European restaurants. There is an excellent Supercor supermarket at Pueblo Nuevo nearby along with many bars and restaurants, an English butcher, a bakers, wine merchant, take aways, dry cleaners and bank within a 10 minute drive.
