Immaculate, fully refurbished townhouse, located at the entrance to this beautiful, unspoilt, traditional and friendly village. Village fetes and a strong community, this cultural get away has exquisite scenery and is historically rich. Perfect for walkers, artists, fishermen and families. The house is an ideal base to explore so many wonderful and less touristy places. The views from our roof terrace are superb; marvel at the hauntingly beautiful 'Knights Templar' castle, which even lights up at night! The village square is a wonderful place to sit and relax and a gorgeous setting to watch the majestic River Ebro run through. Experience truly laid back, Catalonian village life. Please note; hardly anything is open on a Sunday, so if you are arriving on a Saturday, we strongly recommend stocking up on some food and drink once you leave the airport.

Notes on prices
We have just started to rent out our house so during 2008, we are offering a simple fixed price of £350. This will increase next year, so reserve your holiday soon to take advantage of the offer. We require payment to be transferred into our Spanish account. All details will be sent to you once your booking has been confirmed.

| Bedrooms: | Bedroom 1 has double bed with memory foam mattress. 2 bedside cabinets, radio alarm and a huge wardrobe. Bedroom 2 has bunk beds and a chest of drawers. |
| Bathrooms: | Ground floor bathroom with space saving bath, wc and sink. 1st floor shower room with wc and sink. |
| Kitchen: | Spacious and fully equipped with dining table and 4 chairs. Gas cooker, microwave, washing machine, fridge and freezer. |
| Living Rooms: | Beautiful views of the castle from all windows! Lovely, large room. Seating for 5/6 people. 1 large sofa, 2 easy chairs, coffee table etc. Satellite TV (limited channels) DVD player and selection of DVDs. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Bedding, bath towels, hand towels and bath mats are provided. Laundry is cleaned once a week. |
Notes on accommodation
Please note we prefer 2 people/couples to rent the house for the following reasons: The water tank is modest and runs on electric; you will probably need to heat the water up again after a couple of showers.
The safety of children is paramount; as the house is fully tiled with no handrails on stairwells, families with children must sign a disclaimer before renting. However, stairs have 'grooved' edges and are anti-slip. Ideally, the house would best suit couples or 2 friends but older children are welcomed.

Accessibility
The house has 3 flights of stairs and it is not recommended for anyone with mobility challenges.
Outside
There is a superb, very private roof terrace which is a glorious sun trap all day long. This is a beautiful and chilled out area where you can completely relax. We have also had a fridge put up here so you can have drinks and snacks to hand without moving very far.
Coast/Beach
It's a simple, 25 mins drive to a stunning blue flag beach.This part of the coastline is surrounded by a wonderfully dramatic range of peaks and is still very Spanish - you are well away from the tourist trap here - you won't hear many English voices.
Travel
The nearest airport is Reus but you could also fly into Barcelona (1 hour, 30 min drive).

Further details
Miravet is magical. Quiet, clean and safe with exquisite scenery, historic landmarks (entry to the castle is free on Tuesdays!) and an awe-inspiring, river-fronted village square. Much of the land is dedicated to fruit baring trees and in summer, tractors and horses are a delightfully common sight.
The village has a co-op, restaurant, hand-made ceramic shops and an excellent cafe/bar. If you need more specific provisions, Mora D'ebre, (5 mins) has 2 supermarkets, internet cafe, designer shops, bakeries, restaurants and bars. There's also Roman remains and amazing shopping in Tarragona (40 mins).
The city of Reus (30 mins) is another historic city and Gaudi's birthplace, with excellent shops/restaurants. 'Port Aventura' in Salou (40 mins) is much more touristy but you won't be short of entertainment!
Booking notes
We kindly ask that all rental fees are transferred into our Spanish bank account. We provide all details for a simple transaction.
We require £100 deposit (refundable) and 50% of the rental charge, at least 6 weeks before you go. The remaining 50% of the rental must be paid in full, no less than 4 weeks before your departure date.
Failure to pay the remaining balance or cancelling your booking without 4 weeks notice, will result in loss of your deposit and 50% of the rental fee.

'Just returned from Miravet which we thoroughly enjoyed, the house is lovely, very stylish with fantastic views. After staying in other private homes throughout the years, it was nice to eventually find comfortable beds and clean furniture! We hired a car and visited Reus - a real find, Tortosa and the roman city of Tarragona which was amazing. Southern Catalonia is a beautiful area rich in history, with plenty to do and a real chance to get away from 'Little Britain' style resorts and experience real Spain. Thanks again!'
