Set in beautiful walking country, this house provides an increasingly rare opportunity to experience unspoilt rural Spain. It is ideal for the independent-minded traveller who enjoys the natural world and is looking for something a little bit different. Perched on the side of an exquisite valley, the house commands spectacular views. Very much in the old Asturian country style yet with modern amenities and recently rewired, the accommodation is all on one level directly accessed from the drive. The centre of the house is a snug family kitchen. There are two bedrooms and a pleasant modern bathroom with wc. A typical Asturian 'Pajar' barn adjoins the property. The fields between the house and the stream at the bottom of the valley are all part of the property.

Notes on accommodation
In the cosy kitchen dining area are a dining table and chairs as well as comfortable canvas 'directors' chairs for relaxing. A very efficient gas heater heats up the whole house very quickly if required. There is a hair dryer. Children and pets are welcome.
Outside
Outside on the drive or between the barn and house, there are pleasant areas to sit and enjoy the spectacular views. There is a garden table and the dining chairs are easy to carry and suitable for outside use. There is a covered area near the house for parking.
Coast/Beach
35 minutes drive from the nearest beach (Playa de Cueva).
Travel
50 minutes drive from main Oviedo Airport (Asturias).
Distances
20 minutes drive from thriving local town of Trevias and 40 minutes to the lovely seaside port of Luarca.
Further details
The local town of Trevias (20 minutes drive away) is well supplied with most amenities, a supermarket, local bakery, several banks, bars and a very good restaurant, La Union where the Menu of the day is well priced. The town even has its own vintners! La Espiniella is very well placed to explore the little known central and west coast of Asturias and it is only 2 and a half hours drive away from the beautiful city of Leon over the stunning Picos de Europa.
