The new Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort is set in the unspoilt countryside just outside the village of Sucina, Murcia. It is only 20 mins drive from the Mar Menor, renowned for its therapeutic water and clean safe beaches with all the sporting facilities that you would expect including good diving. The San Pedro mud baths are similarly located within a short drive from the resort. The region of Murcia is very historic with many places of interest to visit. The resort is located 1km from Sucina, a typically Spanish village offering a bank, shop and places to eat with the locals. There is however a well stocked supermarket, cafe and pro shop on site with further facilities being opened as the resort becomes more established. The resort is just a 15 mins drive from St Javier airport and 45 minutes from Alicante, both being serviced regularly from many UK airports. There is a free shuttle bus to the other Polaris owned golf courses in the region namely Mar Menor, El Valle and La Torre.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. There is an additional charge of 70 Euros for cleaning/laundry payable locally to our agent in Spain on arrival. Discounts are available for duration longer than 2 weeks.
Changeover day
Changeover days are flexible. Saturdays are preferable.

| Bathrooms: | The bathroom has a bath with screened shower over, WC, bidet and heated towel rail, designer sink with vanity unit under, large mirror and recessed lighting. |
| Kitchen: | Fully equipped with fitted oven, halogen hob with extractor, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, electric juicer, toaster and kettle. It has a full range of utensils, cutlery, glasses and crockery. Stunning views from the window across the golf course. |
| Utility Room: | This covered open area is accessed from the kitchen and houses the gas boiler providing hot water and central heating (for the winter evenings if required). There is also a washing machine and clothes airer. |
| Living Rooms: | With patio doors leading to the terrace overlooking the 13th tee and additional patio doors leading to a balcony overlooking the fairways. It contains a corner leather sofa, LCD TV, DVD, dining table with matching chairs, ceiling fans, air con unit. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Towels and laundry are provided and changed weekly. There is a charge payable locally for cleaning and laundry currently 70 Euros. |
Notes on accommodation
There is air-conditioning in the lounge and 3 speed ceiling fans in lounge and both bedrooms. There is a digibox connected to the TV providing many English channels as well as Spanish etc. There are locks fitted to all windows and doors for extra safety for smaller children bearing in mind the apartment is on the second floor. It also provides extra peace of mind, however, it is a very safe resort with 24 hour security patrols. There are a set of right handed golf clubs at the apartment for your use during your stay. Travel cot and highchair are available for hire through our agent at 35 euros per week per item.
Accessibility
There is underground secure allocated parking, providing safe, cool environment in which to park your car. It has direct lift or stair access to the apartment. The apartment has not been adapted for wheelchair users.
Outside
There is a large shared L-shaped pool within view of the apartment. There is an additional smaller children's pool adjacent to the larger pool and a further pool within 1 min walk. The pool area is fenced in with gated access. There are children's play areas dotted around the resort. The terrace in the apartment provides a relaxing space furnished with a table and chairs to seat 4 for al fresco dining plus 2 loungers for the sunlovers.
Coast/Beach
The Mar Menor is a 15-20 mins drive away providing safe clean bathing and many water sports. You can hire bikes and cycle along the beautiful sea front at Los Alcazares. There are also many tapas bars peppered along the seafront.
Golf
Haciende Riquelme Golf course is the fourth course to be completed by Polaris. There will ultimately be 9 in the Jack Nicklaus Golf Trail over a 25km area. Currently the other courses are Mar Menor, La Torre and El Valle and are all 10-20 mins drive away. A free shuttle bus service is available from the resort. The green vary between 45 - 55 Euros but offers are available for from the pro shop for packages ie green fee plus meals etc.
Travel
St Javier is 15 mins from the Resort and Alicante is 45 mins. There are good car hire companies based at both airports and both are serviced by many airlines. We can provide useful contacts if required.
Distances
Sucina is nearest village offering a bank, shop and local restaurant. The capital city, Murcia is 30 mins away with good shopping and historic landmarks. Cartegena is also 30 mins away and is a beautifully historic port. La Manga is also approx 30 mins away offering you superb golfing facilities. There is a large shopping centre with hypermarket 1 junction along on the AP7 which is the main road from airport. It takes approx 10 mins from resort.
Further details
Hacienda Riquelme is a new resort, however it does offer a supermarket, cafe and proshop with more facilities due to be opened during 2008/9. There are excellent restaurants all over this region and the other Polaris resorts offer a range of dining from the 5* restaurant at the Mar Menor golf resort to the Tapas bar at La Torre. Most of which have been tried and tested by us!
Booking notes
A £75 deposit is due to secure booking, with the balance due 8 weeks prior to departure. A £150 security deposit is also required with the balance payment. This will be returned within 2 weeks of the end of your holiday subject to a satisfactory check-out report. Payments to be made by cheque or BACS transfer in Euros to Spain. Cleaning is paid locally. Our agent in Spain will meet you and explain anything you made need to know about the apartment/area.
