Further details
Altea is a picturesque little fishing village tucked amongst the cliffs. It has a multitude of steep narrow streets full of tempting craft shops, boutiques, bars and bougainvillea tumbling down from the blue-domed church to the attractive palm-lined esplanade. Here you can try out watersports or visit the famous Tuesday market on the seafront. Due to the spectacular scenery, it is patronised by the artistic community, which is evident in the abundance of art shops and galleries.
