Villa Carin is a short walk from the white washed unspoilt village of Corumbela where there is a restaurant, bars and a bakery/supermarket. The white washed villages of Archez, Competa, Canillas de Albaida and Sayalonga are close by, with several bars, supermarkets, restaurants, etc. Competa also has a cyber net cafe and internet facilities. The villa is accessed directly from the main Archez to Corumbela road which has a tarmac surface, and sits in 3700 square metres of land planted with olive and almond trees with small garden areas, private pool and BBQ facilities. The property is beautifully furnished, well equipped and maintained to a high standard. It is south facing so is very light and the facility of air-conditioning is available. Until recently, the villa was the owner’s private residence and they still live locally. Archez is a 1 hour drive from Malaga airport and 30 mins from the popular resorts of Torrox Costa, Nerja and Torre del Mar. The area is renowned for its walks.

Changeover day can be flexible. The property is available from 3pm on day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am on day of departure.

Bedlinen and towels are provided. Please bring own for beach. Beds are made up prior to arrival and changed weekly for rentals of more than 1 week. The villa is cleaned before and after occupation.

Notes on accommodation
Air-conditioning is fitted to both bedrooms and the lounge this is for cold/heating purposes. Gas heater also available. The villa is on one level with no steps.A further good quality matress fold up bed is available for further child.

Accessibility
The villa is accessed directly off the main tarmac roadway with adequate parking facilities for several vehicles. A carport is also situated at the front of the villa. The area around the villa/pool area is flat and the villa is on one level with no steps.

Outside
The villa is set in its own grounds 3700 square metres planted with olives/almond trees with small garden areas. The 21ft x 11ft pool is private. There is adequate patio areas at the front and side of the pool with the addition of the covered porch area which is ideal for the hot summer months. A gas BBQ is supplied together with patio furniture. Table, 6 chairs, 2 loungers, umbrellas. The porch has the conservatory furniture installed together with the ceiling fan and speaker system.

Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is located at Algarrobo Costa 15 kms away with Torrox Costa, Nerja and Torre del Mar 30 minutes drive away. The beach and promenade at Torre del Mar is well recommended.

Skiing
Sierra Nevada ( Skiing) 2 hours drive.

Travel
Malaga Airport is 55kms away (1 hour drive) and Tarifa ferry is 70kms. Although the nearby villages are within walking distance, a vehicle is recommended.

Distances
Corumbela 10 minutes walk. Archez 25/30 minute walk. Canillas de Albaida and Competa 8-10 minute drive. Nerja 30 minutes drive. Sevilla and Granada 1.5 -2 hours drive. Sierra Nevada (skiing) 2 hours drive. Braviera Golf Club 35 minutes drive.

Further details
Banks, supermarkets, restaurants, internet facilities and cyber net cafes are available in the nearby local villages. Local facilities include horse riding, swimming, tennis, motor cycle tracking and walking. The area is widely used by walkers using the old mule tracks to visit the surrounding white washed villages and National Parks. There are several markets held in most villages and towns throughout the area during the week and a flea market every Sunday in Nerja. At Torre del Mar there is a large Aqua Park.

Booking notes
A 25% deposit is required upon booking and the balance payable 6 weeks prior to arrival (except late bookings then booking via arrangement). A security and good housekeeping deposit of £100 is required (separate payment) and will be refunded after return of the keys and inspection of the property. Gas, electricity are included. Payment by cheque or bank draft.

Up to 4 weeks before 75%.
Up to 2 weeks before 100%.

A lovely house in a wonderful location.We have had a relaxing 3 weeks and dread going back to the hussle and bussle of the city.Corumbela is peaceful and friendly and all the locals are welcoming.Kevin and Carol have a real treasure in this house and we are particulary grateful for all thier help and hospitality. We would definitely recommend Villa Carin to anyone who want to relax and enjoy beautiful scenery and great weather in a superb house.

About the owner
I presently reside with my wife Carol and our adopted campo dog Lady in Canillas de Albaida which is a village next to Archez .We are both retired and have been since 2007. I was a serving Police Officer in the UK and Carol was a Care Worker. For the past 15 years we have been visiting Spain on holiday frequently, having previously owned a villa on the campo in Competa for 7 years.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We decided to purchase in the Archez area because the area was known to us and over the years we have fallen in love with the location. Additionally the locals in the area are the most helpful and friendly persons you are likely to find anywhere. Archez and the surrounding area is still the 'real' Spain presently unspoilt and yet you are not far from the coast. The location of the villa is very peaceful and tranquil an ideal place to relax and unwind.

Villa Carin is an ideal location for a quiet holiday yet close enough for you to visit the coastal resorts nearby or to visit the cities of Granada, Seville, Cordoba etc. Carol and I are always available to assist you in any way to ensure that you have a relaxing and trouble free holiday. Living locally makes us only a phone call away from giving you whatever advice or assistance you may require. We are able to offer you the personal service that other owners are not.
