This comfortable family villa is nestled on a hillside. A fabulous 180 degree view of the Mediterranean and overlooking the Marina del Este and the secluded Cotobro beach. This beautiful, unspoiled stretch of coastline is in the province of Granada, a world away from the built up resorts of the Costa del Sol. The villa is a 5 minute drive (or half an hour walk) in either direction to the bustling town of Almunecar with its shops, restaurants and Moorish castle or to the sleepy resort of La Herradura with its long curved bay and its seafront bars and cafes. This very private villa offers 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom, kitchen, WC, large living and dining area plus numerous outside terraces from which to enjoy the all-day sun and sea views.

Air conditioning is available in the 2 largest bedrooms only. Children welcome but younger children will need to be supervised. As with most houses in this area, water is heated by gas cylinders.

Accessibility
The villa is set into a steep hill which is what gives it such fabulous views but unfortunately this also means there are quite a few steps. Sadly this means it is not suitable for the elderly or infirm.
Outside
The villa has several terraces. The main one is used as an outdoor living space and includes a large dining table with chairs plus a pool table. There is another shaded terrace around the side and a garden terrace below with a giant trampoline (use at guests' own risk).
Coast/Beach
A 15 minute walk (double that coming back up!) down some hidden steps below the villa brings you out on to one of Cotobro's three main beaches. In addition Almunecar and La Herradura both offer long, well serviced beaches, while the stunning Cantarrajan beach just over the headland at La Herradura is a haven for naturalists.
Skiing
The ski resort of Sierra Nevada is one hour away and open between December and April.
Special interest holidays
The area is known for its excellent diving facilities. Diving in the marina is one of the top diving centres in Spain. La Herradura also offers opportunities for canoeing, wind-surfing and boat hire.
Travel
Malaga and Granada airport are both about an hour's drive from the villa. Car hire is essential.
Distances
Almunecar and La Herradura are both within 5 minutes drive of the villa and offer a great choice of supermarkets, banks, restaurants and bars. La Herradura is a pleasant 25 min walk away (longer coming back up the hill!) while Almunecar would take slightly longer.
Further details
The neighbouring towns cater for all needs. Further afield there is the lovely mountain town of Otivar, about a half hour's drive away, and the stunning Alpujarras. The pretty town of the neighbouring towns cater for all needs.
