Casa Minett, a well appointed private villa is set amidst beautiful gardens in an area of outstanding natural beauty, the Alcaucin Valley, but only a charming 5 minute stroll through the olive grove to the busy village of Puente don Manuel with its selection of shops, bars and restaurants. The gated, single storey 2 bed, 2 bath detached villa, has a large driveway and over a 100m2 of open and covered terraces which invite you to rest and absorb the endless hours of sunshine There is also a BBQ with covered eating area and bar with fridge near the pool, providing you with the perfect setting in which to sit back, relax and unwind whilst enjoying the stunning views over to the majestic mountain peak of La Maroma. The villa offers peace and tranquillity yet is only a 15 minute drive from Torre Del Mar with beaches, bars and restaurants if it’s a livelier atmosphere that you want. Changeover day
We have no fixed changeover days and we always try to be flexible to suit your flights, and times into and out of the villa. But when we must, we ask you to leave by 11.00 and not arrive until 16.00. €30 will be added to arrivals at the villa after 00.00.

Bedrooms: Master bedroom is furnished with a double bed, bedside tables and large built in wardrobes.
Bedroom 2 has two single beds and also large built in wardrobes.
Bathrooms: En-suite bathroom to master bedroom with shower over the bath, bidet, wash hand basin and wc.
Family shower room, walk-in shower, wash hand basin and wc and bidet. Both bathrooms are equipped with hairdryers
Kitchen: The modern American style kitchen is fully equipped, granite topped work surfaces, fridge/freezer, oven and grill, hob, microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher, washing machine and the indispensable, juicer, in fact everything that you could want.
Living Rooms: The spacious, circular open-plan lounge/diner has 2 patio doors leading out to separate areas of the garden, it has a large 'L' shaped sofa, a fire place containing a wood-burner and a dining table that will seat six comfortably. There is a TV and DVD.
Other: The efficient fan assisted wood burner in the lounge and the excellent electric heating panels,make this an ideal place for that winter, or golf break. There is a selection of books for your use.

linen/maid service:
Due to luggage restrictions, we provide linen and all towels, including ones for the pool. The villa is properly cleaned prior to your holiday, and again in accordance with length of stay. Additional cleaning provided as required, subject to charge.

Notes on accommodation
A car would be an advantage, to fully enjoy your holiday at Casa Minett, but not essential. The private pool is not overlooked and is for your exclusive use. Baby equipment can be provided at extra cost, ie cots, highchair, car seat, sterilizer and changing mat.
Should this villa not exactly meet your requirements, we do have other properties available, all within this breathtaking area.

Accessibility
From where you park the car, there are four steps up to the terrace, then everything else is on the same level, not even a threshold to step over.

Outside
The private pool and terrace is for your exclusive use, and is not overlooked from anywhere. The two level front garden has a selection of fragrant flowers and shrubs close to the house, and the lower level has cactus, bamboo, olive, peach, orange, lemon and fig trees. You are free to help yourself to any of the fresh fruit whilst you are staying.

Coast/Beach
It is a 15 minute drive to Torre Del Mar beaches, whilst Nerja is only 35 minutes away.

Golf
There are two very good local golf courses, both having spectacular views as you play. Baviera is 20 minutes drive and Anoreta is 30 minutes. We have a full set of right-handed clubs, balls and tees for hire, subject to availability.

Skiing
We are about 95 minutes drive away from the ski slopes of the Sierra Nevada, the slopes are suitable for skiers of all levels of skill and experience, but you do not have to ski to have an excellent day out. There are separate free sledging runs for the children to enjoy, with sledges for hire at a few euros. The ski village is also a very good place to visit in the summer with mountain bike hire available.

Travel
Malaga airport is only 45 minutes drive and Granada airport is just 10 minutes more, airport transfers can be arranged from 55 euros.

Distances
There is lots to do, and places to visit. In the immediate vicinity there are; Land Rover safaris into the mountains, sailing horse riding, quad, mountain biking, walking and hiking, bird watching, tennis, fishing and non-powered water sports in the spectacular Lake Vinuela. Sight seeing tours can be arranged to The Alhambra Palace, Nerja and the the Caves, the water park, Malaga Botanical Gardens, Malaga city, Benalmadena marina, Ronda and Gibraltar. All tours will be collected from your villa.

Further details
Alcaucin, Puente don Manuel and Lake Vinuela are all very close and have lots of superb tapas bars and restaurants offering local well cooked dishes. They all have markets on different days and also all have there own 'fiestas', full of colour, flamenco and local traditions. During the summer rarely does more than a few days pass when there is not a fiesta to be visited, celebrating; peaches, wine, grapes, raisins and not forgetting olives, basically any reason to party.
One of the largest indoor shopping malls in the region, with ten-pin bowling and a multiple screen cinema is only 15 minutes drive away. The mall has one of the largest supermarkets with amazing local produce available and there are numerous local markets. The closest water park is near to the shopping mall. You can catch a tram from here to the bustling main town of Velez Malaga. The children will have a brilliant time at Tivoli World and Selwo, both very reasonably priced and both in Belamadena. Gibraltar, Seville and Cordoba are all within two hours drive, easy for a day trip.

Booking notes
Bookings will be confirmed upon payment of a 25% non-refundable deposit. Remainder to be paid in full 6 weeks before your holiday start date. Welcome packs are provided with each arrival of a week or more and a ‘full shop’ can be pre-ordered by email. We also require a £120 key/damage deposit, refundable when you leave. There is an offer of a 10% discount for bookings of 2 weeks or more applicable outside of peak season.

We have been in Spain now for seven years, so we have a good knowledge of the area. We will always try to make our guests stay as enjoyable as possible, and make suggestions of places to go and things to do.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
The reason that we chose this area to live is that it has spectacular scenery, it is away from the bustle of the coast, but also near enough to be there in twenty minutes and enjoy all of the usual things that people come on holiday to Spain for!
