Large 35 sq.m terrace with afternoon sun for dining or relaxing. There is also a smaller east facing terrace perfect for the morning sun. It is on the 3rd floor just below the penthouse, with lift and stair access. Private parking in covered garage for 1 car. With a modern fitted kitchen and electrical appliances. The area is quiet but access to shopping and lively places is within 5 to 10 minutes drive. There is a large selection of golf courses in the area and 2 of those can be seen from the apartment. Gibraltar is just over an hours drive away. The resorts of Marbella, Benalmadena, Torremolinos are between 15 to 20 minutes drive away.

Bedroom 2 and 3 with twin beds, fitted wardrobes sharing access to outside terrace. All have air-con, ceiling fans and window shutters.
Bathrooms: En-suite to bed 1 has a white suite inc bath/shower over, wc and bidet with marble floors and fitted storage cupboard with marble surround wash basin.
2nd bathroom has large walk in shower, WC and wash basin, storage shelf and cupboard
Kitchen: Danish designed maple kitchen with granite worktops includes ceramic hob, dishwasher, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle and toaster.
Utility Room: Laundry area with washing machine. All cleaning equipment is stored here (mops, brushes etc).

Notes on accommodation
Smoking is permitted on outside terraces only. Complex suitable for children. Cots, high chairs not included but can be arranged.

Accessibility
Access to the complex and buildings is suitable for wheelchairs. Lift provided. Apartment is not adapted for wheelchairs but is large enough for a wheel chair user.

Outside
Outside pools are not heated but swimming is achievable from May to October. Both adult pools have shallow and deep ends. Toilet/changing area provided close by both pools. Sun loungers are provided outside, static umbrellas are fixed within the gardens. Barbecues not provided but a park is within 2 minutes drive from the complex with barbecue and bar facilities on site.

Coast/Beach
Fuengirola beach and town 6 kms away less than 10 mins drive. Promenade and plenty of facilities along the beach, eating, drinking and shopping. La Cala beach 7 kms 10 minutes drive, free parking, shops, bars, restaurants right on the coast. Cabopino beach and port 15 mins drive. Lovely sheltered location with beach bars and sunbed hire. The busier areas of Benalmadena, Torremolinos and further south Marbella are within 20 mins drive with all the eating and shopping outlets you would need.

Golf
Mijas Golf course is a 5 minute drive and can be seen from the east terrace. Santana golf course is the newest in the area and can also be seen from the west terrace.
Distances - 5 mins drive Mijas Golf - Lagos and Olivos,
15 mins drive La Cala Resort -North, South and Europa, 5 mins drive Santana. 10 mins drive Alhaurin. Within 20 mins drive El Chaparral, La Cala Nova and Miraflores.

Travel
Malaga airport 28km, 25 mins drive away.
Malaga port 35 kms.
A car is essential for your stay. Taxis from Fuengirola or La Cala cost approx 18 euros. Bus service is very limitied in the area.
A train from the airport runs as far as Fuengirola and the cost is a few euros. A train ride to Malaga city is a relaxing and pleasant ride with no hassle of city driving or parking.

Distances
Marbella - 20 mins drive.
Benalmadena -15 mins drive.
Torremolinos - 20 mins drive.
Gibraltar - 75 mins drive (110 kms).

Further details
Lots of activities for families in all local towns but Benalmadena has many tourist attractions eg Tivoli World (theme park) Selwo Marina sea-world (aqua park).
Paloma Park -gardens with animals who live in the park, birds, rabbits, ostrich, goats. Cactus park, lake with water feature. Lots of places to purchase a drink/snack. Benalmadena marina- boat moorings with bars/restaurants and lively nightlife.
Puerto Banus- upmarket shopping/dining with a chance to see the impressive boats moored there.
Sotogrande - the new Puerto Banus. Exclusive marina complex with good dining options (close to Gibraltar).

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
Despite looking for an apartment near the coast when I saw this place I knew I would regret not buying it. The coast is 10 mins drive away and there are enough amenities withing walking distance to occupy a night or two. The views of the mountains change with the seasons, the sea is the sea.
