The warm climate of the Murcia area of southern Spain provides over 320 days of sunshine with average temperatures of 21 degrees C, more sunshine than any other area of Spain. The new Jack Nicklaus designed 18 hole golf course is based on a desert links style, and offers a challenge to both experienced and novice golfers alike. The property is situated on a quiet street, with ample car parking at the front and a covered car port. At the rear, there is a swimming pool and covered pergola area. Inside, there is a large lounge/diner, 3 double bedrooms with a sofa/bed for 2 more guests, 2 bathrooms with showers, a bath and bidets, and ample storage. The separate kitchen and utility rooms are fully equipped with modern appliances. The lounge has satellite TV, DVD player, hi-fi, Internet access and a variety of books and games.

Outside
There is a carport at front of house with covered pergola-style roofing, parking for up to three cars. There is a gate access at either side of villa to the rear, and a covered area for sun protection by the barbecue area at the left side of villa. Two recliners, a hammock, 2 tables and 8 chairs provide alfresco seating and dining. The swimming pool is private; the area is approximately 6x4m with depth from 1.8m to 0.7m (clearly marked). The pool is regularly cleaned and maintained. Lemon and orange trees, Jasmine and Hyacinth pots. A Rockery garden with a small tropical plantation provides additional colour.
Coast/Beach
Many child friendly and safe, sandy, unspoilt beaches lie 25 minutes away by car, at numerous beach resorts in the San Javier/Los Alcazares area of the Costa Calida, with windsurfing, kite-surfing, jet skiing, fishing, snorkelling, scuba diving and sailing. Slightly inland from the coast, the Mar Menor is a large (135sqm) shallow, warm salt-water lagoon which is very safe for all water sports and remains pleasant to bathe in well into the autumn months.
Golf
18 hole championship golf course with clubhouse, restaurant and bars, tennis, health and fitness centre, supermarket, driving range, putting green and resident professional. The desert-links styled golf course was specially designed by Jack Nicklaus Design, and arguably boasts the finest example of this type of course in Europe, with lush fairways and superb greens - a mildly undulating course around lakes and lagoons. As a guest of El Valle, golfers also have access to the courses at La Torre (5 min away), Mar Menor (25 mins) and the soon to be completed Hacienda Riquelme (all known as the Nicklaus Golf Trail). Easy access to these is from El Valle via the free shuttle bus that runs several times a day. The 4 courses offer a wealth of exciting and fun golfing challenges, suitable for all types of golfers from novice to the experienced.
Travel
San Javier airport (not to be confused with Murcia inland airport). Flights from the UK (average 2½ hours) via Monarch, Ryannair, EasyJet, Flybe, BMIBaby etc. Car hire is essential but cheap and easy via the Internet. Recommended is Sol Mar; simple booking via the Internet, hire direct from the airport (unlike some others where you are transported to a different location to pick up your car, adding an hour to each way.
Distances
20 miles to the city of Murcia, where there are many examples of fine Spanish architecture, places of cultural interest with extensive shopping and restaurants, 6 miles to La Torre golf resort and supermarket.
25 miles to San Javier Airport and the San Javier/Los Alcazares area. San Javier boasts the Dos Mares shopping mall, including a cinema, large food hall and 10-pin bowling. It also has one of the highest rated hospitals in Europe, significantly better than what the NHS offers.

Check out the Nueva Condomina, a new shopping mall in Murcia features 200 plus shops, with many UK high street chains you will be familiar with.
Many goods are significantly cheaper than UK prices. The cathedral at Murcia dates from 1388 and is a striking example of Spanish medieval architecture. Murcia also features 2 new family attractions: the Terra Agua Murcia, a water park featuring rides, wave machines, slides etc and the Terra Natura Murcia (an Animal Park). Both these provide a wonderful family day out, and are close to the resort. For those football fans, Real Murcia play in the Spanish Premier League. Their ground is located next to the Nueva Condomina and is well worth a visit when playing at home.
The Murcia area is also known as the garden of Spain, with many areas of outstanding natural beauty and a wide variety of wildlife throughout the many National Park areas.
Cartagena, approx 45 minutes to the south, offers extensive shopping. It is a beautiful old Roman port and city and offers a traditional Spanish type environment to explore.
Booking notes
Reservations require a deposit of £200 or 25% to secure a booking. The remaining balance is to be paid 8 weeks before your arrival. A refundable security deposit of £200 is also required 8 weeks before your arrival. This is refunded after your departure, once the keys have been returned and a satisfactory final inspection of the property has been carried out. Cleaning costs of 70 euros payable locally at time of arrival. Additional mid term cleaning can be arranged for stays longer than a week
