Our warm and sunny home is tastefully decorated with comfort in mind. It is equipped with all facilities so that your stay is relaxed and comfortable. It has both a pool and games room making it appealing for families. It is situated on the outskirts of Loja - a friendly provincial town - and is close to amenities, local restaurants and bars. It is a short half hour drive through stunning countryside to Granada, or Iznajar - a beautiful white washed town sitting impressively on top of a craggy hill surrounded by a large fresh water lake. Only an hours drive is the historic and beautiful city of Cordoba and its famous Mezquita. If fishing is your passion, the house is a 5 minute drive from Rio Frio, a picturesque village where it is possible to fish for trout (you need to purchase a license), or dine on local fish in one of its restaurants. Loja is set amidst mountains - the area is known for walking, the sea is not far away - it takes around 45 minutes to get to the nearest beach.

Changeover day
Saturday is changeover day, although we can be relatively flexible out of season.
Accommodation
| Bedrooms: | Bedroom 1 with double bed. Bedroom 2 with 2 single beds. Bedroom 3 with 2 single beds. |
| Bathrooms: | Bathroom 1 with bath/shower over, bidet, wc. Bathroom 2 with wc and sink. |
| Kitchen: | Large well equipped pine and marble kitchen with cooker, hob, fridge, freezer and microwave. Small dining area with table and chairs. Second kitchenette next to games room with a fridge, useful for garden drinks/food. |
| Utility Room: | Utility room off kitchen with washing machine, boiler, sink, ironing board and iron. |
| Living Rooms: | Living area is a lounge/diner with 2 sofas and a large dining table that seats 6-8 people. Room equipped with a TV and video/DVD player and a CD/music player. We do not have Satellite TV. |
| Other: | Downstairs is a large games room with table tennis table and table football. There is also a kitchenette which is useful for garden drinks/food. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Visitors to our home are met by Carol (key holder) and greeted with a pack of essentials including some local produce and wine. Towels and linen included. Property cleaned and linen changed every 2 weeks for bookings over 2 weeks long. |
Notes on accommodation
The house does not have central heating but there are radiators and an open fire to keep the house cosy in autumn and winter. The house is suitable very suitable for families although as the pool is not fenced it is not as suitable for people with very young children.

Outside
The villa is in a pretty garden with lawned area and patio furniture. The rose and honeysuckle hedge provides privacy. The garden has fruit trees (pear, orange and cherry) and 2 large palm trees. It has a private unheated pool.
Coast/Beach
The coast is 45 minutes away by car. There are numerous beaches to choose from - the nearest are towards Malaga although our favourite seaside destination is Nerja. This is about 1 hour away. There are numerous small and larger beaches all along the coastline South from our villa.
Skiing
Skiing in the Sierra Nevada is 45 minutes away by car in the impressive mountain range rising above Granada. Sierra Navada provides skiing for all abilities. Once you arrive at the ski resort there is underground parking facilities - all amenities, shops, restaurants, ski equipment hire, bars are on the pedestrianised area above. It is a beautiful and much underrated ski resort, very easily accessible from our villa.
Travel
The nearest airports are Granada (20 minutes by car) and Malaga (1 hour by car).
Distances
We are on the outskirts of Loja. The centre of the town is a 15 minute walk or 5 minute drive away. The centre of Loja has interesting old Moorish buildings as it was one of the last Moorish strongholds in the area. Granada and the famous Al Hambra palace are half an hour away. Cordoba and the beautiful Mezquita are 1 hour away. Our villa is ideally placed for visiting the many places of interest.

All guests are greeted with a pack of essentials including some local produce and wine.
Booking notes
People wishing to book are e-mailed a booking form and requested to pay a 25% deposit. The balance is payable 8 weeks prior to departure. All payments are made in euros and transferred electronically to our Spanish bank account. Further details are provided on the booking form. After the balance payment is received you will receive details of how to find Loja and meet up with carol our key holder.
