The farmhouse is situated in the southern foothills of the Sierra Nevada, known as the Alpujarras, close to the market town of Orgiva. The property is set within its own landscaped gardens and the mountain views over the Rio Guadalfeo valley are stunning. The original farmhouse is over 100 years old. It has been renovated to a high standard keeping the original Andalucian features. You have plenty of living space and double doors that open onto several terraces so you can enjoy both the morning and evening sun. The entrance porch and patio captures the early morning sun and is a good place to have breakfast. The property benefits from hot / cold air conditioning in the living area and 2 of the bedrooms. Additionally there are 2 efficient wood burning stoves for use in the winter months. The pool is large 14m x 5m with a terraced area to one end and is available between the months of May & October (weather permitting).

A £50 discount is offered for a 2 week stay.
Changeover day
The changeover day is Saturday although there is some flexibility outside the main season.
| Bedrooms: | Bedroom 1 is ensuite with a double bed and doors leading onto west facing terrace. Bedroom 2 is a twin room adjacent to the main bathroom. It can be made up as a double on request. Bedroom 3 is a spacious double room with doors onto west facing terrace. |
| Bathrooms: | There is a main bathroom with shower, wc & bidet and an en-suite with shower & wc. |
| Kitchen: | The kitchen is fully equipped with gas cooker & hob, toaster, fridge-freezer & washing machine. There is an electric juicer which can be used to juice the large bags of locally grown oranges for sale in the area. |
| Other: | There is a dressing room area between bedroom 1 and bedroom 3 with large built-in wardrobes. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Linen & towels are provided. A change of linen will be provided for bookings of more than 1 week. The property is thoroughly cleaned between lettings but there is no maid service. |
Notes on accommodation
The house benefits from hot / cold air conditioning units in the living area & 2 of the bedrooms.
Due to an unguarded pool area & surrounding land which drops away quite steeply we do not recommend the property for children under 5 years old.
Accessibility
Although single storey there are steps up & down, both within & between rooms. The house is therefore not recommended for anyone with walking difficulties.
Outside
The property is set within its own landscaped gardens.
Both main terraces are equipped with table & chairs. There are also sun loungers & a large sun umbrella.
The pool is large 14m x 5m with a terraced area to one end and is available between the months of May & October (weather permitting).
Coast/Beach
The beach town of Salobrena is a 40 minute drive away.
Travel
The nearest airport is Granada, which is about a 1 hour drive, but flights to this airport are limited. You may prefer to fly to Malaga, which is a 2 hour drive.
Distances
The house is located on the Tijola road approximately 7 kilometers (or 6 on foot) from the town of Orgiva. The last kilometer of the approach is on an unmade-up road, which is passable in a normal car.
Further details
This is ideal walking & mountain biking territory & from your door you have access to a footpath which links the higher mountain towns should you want the challenge.
The water supply comes from a private spring and we recommend buying bottled water for drinking & cooking. Water can be obtained at no cost from treated springs in the nearby spa town of Lanjaron.
Booking notes
Booking is direct with owner & confirmed once a 25% deposit has been paid. The balance is payable 4 weeks prior to departure.

It is a well equipped house with its own secluded swimming pool and garden. As soon as you arrive you begin to relax and enjoy the area.
