Each of the 3 bedrooms has its own en-suite bathroom whilst there is an additional bathroom for all to use within the general living area. The large bright modern kitchen contains all that you will need, being installed in 2008. There is a breakfast bar and a separate dining area which is large enough for a dinner party. Outside
The villa has a Mediterranean garden with a large lawn area, tiered rockery, a citrus fruit area and stunning views to Montgo, the large mountain towering over Javea. The (8.0m x 8.0m) pool is L-shaped with underwater lighting and access via five steps. It has 2 depths, the minimum being 4’4” the maximum being 5’10”, it may therefore be considered unsuitable for small, non-swimming children. A gas barbecue is available for guests’ personal use. Private off-street parking is available.
Coast/Beach
The lovely sandy Arenal beach (Javea's main beach) is a 5 minute drive or a 30 minute stroll away, whilst La Barraca beach is a similar distance, it is not suitable for walking to, as the return journey would challenge even the most serious hill walker. Ambola (Naturalist) and Granadella beaches are also nearby, both providing excellent opportunities for sun bathing, swimming and snorkeling. Denia has miles of long wide sandy beaches, whilst Moriara again has a lovely small sandy beach.
Golf
There are 7 golf courses close by, Javea’s own local course, La Sella on the road to Denia, Oliva Golf to the north and Don Cayo and Ifach to the south near Calpe being the closest.
Special interest holidays
Diving: There are a number of Scuba Diving organisations, one within walking distance, that will take you out into the clear waters in and around Javea, where the rocky coves, caves and islands make this area particularly attractive to divers. The Sant Antoni Marine Reserve is known for it’s diversity of underwater flora, fauna and fish.
Walking: Due to the varied landscape of this area there are a number of ecotourist walks recommended by the Tourist Centre. A must, is the walk to the top of the 753 metre high Montgo, where some of the local 600 species of flora can be found. You may also see during this 1 hour 30 minute assent, various gulls, ravens, owls and the bonelli's eagle, whilst on the ground you may see rabbits, badger, fox, weasel, lizards and the non venomous horse snake.
Travel
A car is essential to fully enjoy Javea and its surrounds and whilst there are a number of local car hire firms, hiring a car at the airport would appear to be the most economic.
Nearest Airports are Alicante 1 hour drive (105 kilometers), Valencia 1 hour 20 minutes (130 kilometers), Murcia 2 hours (188 kilometers).
Distances
Within a 30-40 minute drive, you have Benidorm and Calpe, both with sandy beaches, the latter having the landmark ‘Penon d’Ifach’ rock, rearing out into the sea.
Drive in the opposite direction and you are in the cosmopolitan city of Valencia in just over the hour. Drive inland and you are up in the mountains with small Spanish villages, waterfalls and breathtaking views.
Further details
There are at least 12 recommended restuarants in the local area and three English speaking supermarkets within a five minute drive. A couple of the restaurants and a cash point machine are within walking distance. The Arenal, Old Town and Port areas all have restuarants, bars and shops to suit all tastes.

Owner profile
About the owner
We decided to take early retirement and move to Spain as we could not bear to face getting old in the grey climate of England whilst sitting in doors watching TV waiting for the rain to stop. Here we spend so much more time outdoors and what with the fresh Mediterranean sea air, are much more active and healthier than some of our peers in the UK. Having given up work, moving here became the challenge having to adapt to a new way of life, together with learning a new language whilst also making new friends both here and elsewhere in Spain, which we explore as much as possible.
Year purchased: 2007
Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
Having searched both the East and South coasts of Spain, we decided Javea was the place for us, due to its natural beauty, the ease of travelling to and from and it's greenery. It has a rugged coastline with numerous quiet and secluded bays, it is hilly whilst not being mountainous which gives you some stunning views and a feeling of openness and space. So many of the other coasts were dry, arid and brown with miles of concrete housing and hotels obscuring the sky line, whereas here, the climate is so conducive to the growing of plants that where ever you look, you see the different colours of the various palms and trees that grow so vigourously in this area. The way Javea is divided into three seperate and distinct parts also appeals as you go, where your mood at the time takes you.
Unique benefits of the property
The property is ideally situated being just outside the Arenal area so as not to be disturbed by the nightlife and yet close enough so as to be able to walk (down hill) into. It is just high enough so as to get a view without the use of climbing equipment and it is modern in design so as to be easily kept clean. It has both a garden and a pool area for you to relax in, depending on your preference at the time and is private so you are not disturbed by the antics of other holidaymakers.
