There is a large shared pool which is open all year plus all the facilities of the Valle del Este Hotel with excellent restaurant etc. There is also a dedicated relaxation area comprising three separate pools. The hotel has its own health spa and gym. The golf resort also offers paddle tennis and a new small commercial centre with bars, shops an Internet cafe and cafes with stunning views over the golf course. Use of the excellent beach complex at Vera Playa with its own restaurants, pool and water sports is also available and is just a 10/15 minute drive from the complex. The Valle del Este 18-hole golf course has been carefully designed to combine holes that represent a real challenge to the player, with other less strenuous holes. The course has been designed by José Canales, paying careful attention to every detail and integrating the course into the surrounding landscape by making use of indigenous vegetation.

Coast/Beach
For those who enjoy beach holidays there are uncrowded white sand beaches and an excellent beach club that is for the exclusive use of Valle del Este residents located just 10 minutes from the apartment. The beaches have lifeguards, and are maintained to a high standard with regularly placed fresh water showers provided. There are frequent play areas provided for younger children.
Golf
For the golfer, the Valle del Este course offers a real challenge (discounted green fees available), as does the nearby Desert Springs course. Within an hours drive, there are a multitude of other courses including the La Manga complex. Is it a tough course? With wide fairways, large, receptive greens and 5,720m from the competition tees, it would not really seem to be. The strategic positions of the tees and the obstacles in the landing areas, however, make each hole a real challenge, whatever your level of play. The landscape, the desert of Almeria with occasional glimpses of the Mediterranean and the folds of the terrain make it a visual marvel. The small, circular, elevated tees and the desert which needs to be cleared at each hole make every pin a challenge. The fairways on some holes may remind you of some Arizona’s finest courses, but with the singularity of the local vegetation. There are also strategically-located water hazards to stretch players to their limits.
Skiing
The Sierra Nevada Mountains are with the 200km drive for those that want to ski in the morning and BBQ on the beach in the afternoon. Granada has one of the most dramatic locations in Spain, poised below the backdrop of the snow-capped peaks of the Sierra Nevada. The cities most striking feature is the near-perfect Alhambra Palace. The journey takes about two hours if driving via Almeria, but a more spectacular route can be taken through the mountains to the north of Vera.
Travel
Almeria airport is the nearest at a 40 min drive door to door. Murcia is well served and now only 1 hour away since the new motorway has opened. Both are well serviced by car hire companies. Alicante is also not that far away.
Distances
Garrucha 8km is a thriving port town with a large fishing fleet. In mid-afternoon when the fleet lands its catch, the quayside auction is well worth watching. An evening visit to one the many excellent seafood restaurants that line the seafront is a treat too. Mojacar 10km is split between the hilltop village Mojacar Pueblo and the beachfront Mojacar Playa. Mojacar Pueblo is perched on a rocky outcrop and can be seen from a long distance as the houses are painted a brilliant white.

Cheques or bank transfers are acceptable. £100 refundable damages deposit required with balance. In the event of no damage or lost keys it will be returned within two weeks of departure date.
