The apartment is in the highly acclaimed La Torre complex. There residents will have use of extensive gardens, several swimming pools and all the resort facilities including an on site supermarket. There are several bars and restaurants, medical facilities and even a bank within the resort. The Jack Nicklaus designed golf course is an integral part of the complex and tee times can be booked at the clubhouse or by telephone. The property has a lift and secure parking.
Coast/Beach
The Mar Menor beach is 10 miles away and takes less than 15 minutes to drive. This has a lovely sandy beach for swimming, water sports and enjoying the sunshine. There are numerous bars and restaurants overlooking the sea and is a great way to 'watch the world go by'. The resort is within easy access to numerous other beaches and towns. There is also excellent walking in the nearby mountains for the more energetic residents.
Golf
The apartment is in the highly acclaimed La Torre complex. The Jack Nicklaus designed golf course is an integral part of the complex and tee times can be booked at the clubhouse or by telephone. There is also a free courtesy bus between the three Polaris World resorts, each of which have high quality golf courses. There are also numerous other golf courses, including La Manga, which is a very short drive from the resort. Alternatively, the well known courses in the Costa Blanca, such as Campoamor, Las Ramblas, La Finca and Villamartin can all be easily reached. This is an ideal resort for golf enthusiasts with a wealth of high quality courses nearby and a perfect place to relax after a challenging round of golf.
Travel
The property has excellent access by road and air. Murcia (San Javier) airport is only 15 minutes drive and is served by many charter and low cost UK airlines. Alicante is 40 minutes drive and there is good access by dual carriageway road to both airports. Car hire is inexpensive and is readily available. This can be arranged either locally or online by Polaris World and other rental agents.
Distances
The regional capital of Murcia is about 30 minutes drive away and has a host of fine buildings and shops and the historic port city of Cartagena is 15 minutes drive. Calblanque and Sierra de Carrascoy regional parks and the San Pedro Salinas bird sanctuary are a short drive and all offer an excellent day out. Torrevieja and the many beaches and bays of Costa Blanca are all within easy reach and offer a host of bars, places of natural beauty and water sports.

The La Torre Golf Resort is located close to the shores of the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean Sea, in the Costa Calida region of Murcia. The climate is excellent, with over 320 days of sunshine each year and average temperatures of 21 degrees. The Costa Calida is easily accessed and The World Health Organisation recently declared the province of Murcia the cleanest area in Spain with the least industrial pollution. The Mar Menor sea inlet, Europe's biggest salt-water lagoon is believed to have great curative properties for ailments such as rheumatism and arthritis. At the southern end of the Costa is the popular resort of Mojacar, a beautiful Moorish hilltop town in the province of Almeria. The old town is a delightful cluster of ancient whitewashed buildings served by narrow, winding streets. The beachfront is a 24-hour playground in the summer months with plenty of water sports and leisure activities by day and a lively nightlife consisting of everything from bingo and karaoke to flamenco shows and all-night clubs. The nearby fishing port of Garrucha is famous for its excellent seafood restaurants where you can savour the fresh catch of the day. La Torre is located in the Valle de Sol (Valley of the Sun), which makes it exceptionally warm and dry all year round. The location is ideal for golfers and is within 15 minutes of other Polaris World Resort courses as well as La Serena and Roda Golf Resorts. Alternatively the well known courses in the Costa Blanca, such as Campoamor, Las Ramblas, La Finca and Villamartin can easily be reached. The world famous La Manga Club is only few minutes away to the south. La Torre is situated close to the sandy beaches of the Mar Menor and is home to Polaris World's first 18-hole championship golf course. The resort is ideally located for families, golfers or those who just want to 'chill out' in a lovely location.
