Set in over an acre of gardens 'Finca Victoria' is a traditional Valencian farmhouse style country house. The main house has two large bedrooms and a bed settee. Plus a detached guest house with 2 more bedrooms, both with air-conditioning and heating, fitted wardrobes, en-suite bathrooms and coffee/tea making facilities. The property features a unique 'rock' swimming pool. The extensive garden is a profusion of palms, oranges, lemons, mandarins, bananas, limes, figs, almonds, grapes, bamboo, bignonia, passionflower, roses, mimosas, carobs, the list is endless. There is also a small vineyard with 30 varieties of desert grapes. (help yourself in season). The surrounding hills are perfect for walkers and lovers of the countryside. For the more energetic guests, horse-riding and golf are available locally. Located on Spain's beautiful Costa Blanca, Benissa is close to the motorway and is a short drive from the well known towns of Moraira, Calpe, Javea, Denia and Benidorm.

Other: Ofice with hi-fi system and free broadband wireless internet connection 24/7. Computer. Restaurant size wine/beer/soft drinks cooler. Off the master bedroom there is a balcony with panoramic views all down the coast as far as Calpe and the sea beyond.

We provide all towels and linen changed weekly. We also provide towels, parasols & mats for the pool and the beach (no extra charge). The property is cleaned prior to each let and additional maid service can be provided by arrangement.

Accessibility
The whole property and its gardens are set on a flat plot. The main building is on two floors with bedrooms 1 and 2 on the second floor. The guest house is single story with one double bedded room (bathroom en-suite) and a second twin bedded room (bathroom en-suite).

Outside
Surrounded by an oasis of landscaped gardens extending to over one acre. There is a magnificent and very private swimming pool (approximately 9 x 5m), featuring waterfalls and underwater lighting. There is a beautiful enclosed Moroccan style outdoor garden area complete with "Weber" BBQ. Plus an outdoor covered dining room with a huge table seating 12 people. There is a "Gaudi" tiled garden seating area for up to 20 people and features a gazebo. The gardens are a haven for many species of birds. Of the more exotic varieties regular visitors include Hoopoe, Love birds and even the odd Egret. Plus a multitude of barn swallows who migrate here every summer from South Africa and return here year after year. Birds of prey include the common “northern hobby” and even the occasional eagle seen soaring on thermals. There is off-road parking for six cars. The property is set at the end of a private road with secure electric gates.

Coast/Beach
Starting with the nearest, there follows a list of major beaches with their official (Google) driving times from Finca Victoria (most of these have the EEC blue flag rating). Calpe 13 mins. Baladrar 15 mins. Moraira 19 mins. El Portet 21 mins. Cumbre del Sol 22 mins. Altea 23 mins. El Poblets 26 mins. Javea 27 mins. Denia 27 mins and Benidorm 27 mins. Apart from these there are at least 20 other beautiful beaches within a 30 minute drive of the finca. We provide beach towels & parasols & mats

Golf
Within 15 minutes drive is Javea Golf Club situated between Moraira and Javea and is open all year round. The course is a 9 hole, par 72 and 3,035 metres. The course is easy to play and relatively flat. Other facilities include: driving range, putting green, heated swimming pool, club bar and restaurant. La Sella Golf Club is 15 minutes drive near the village of Jesus Pobre. The course has 18 holes, par 72 and is 6,029 metres. The course although flat has many trees and water obstacles. This is a private members club open to the public. Facilities include: driving range, putting green, motorised trolleys, club bar, lounge bar, restaurant and swimming pool. Both Javea and La Sella clubs have tennis and squash courts. Within a half hour drive north in Oliva is Oliva Nova Golf Club, designed by Seve Ballesteros. These testing course 18 holes, par 72 and 7,051 metres. The club has a shop, driving range, restaurant, swimming pool and fitness centre. Plus 3 others within 25 mins drive.

Rock Climbing. Benissa has become a very popular centre for people interested in climbing. The main areas are:-Penon D'Ifach(a must for all levels of ability at 322 meters), Sella(a huge range of routes covering all grades and lengths), Toix, and Altea.
More golf! Ifach Golf Club - Moraira, At just 12 kilometres from Calpe, surrounded by tranquillity and nature, is the Ifach Golf club. This is considered one of the pioneer clubs of the Comunidad Valenciana.
Situated in an area that is particularly attractive for the practice of golf, and with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea, you can find a quality that is a must for people who wish to get away from the stress of the large cities: silence. Between the pines, algarrobos and almond trees we can find peace and quiet, enabling you to concentrate on the practice of this sport.
Javier Arana, architect and golf player, designer of the El Saler golf club among others, designed the Ifach Club. The course is 3399 metres par 60.

Travel
Alicante airport is 52 min drive on the motorway.
Valencia and Mucia airports are 71 mins and 97 min drive away.

From the local bus/coach stop in Benissa you can travel directly to almost anywhere in Europe!

Further details
Benissa is one the oldest towns on the Costa Blanca, located 275m above sea level and full of pleasant surprises. A quiet stroll through the ancient, well preserved town centre will enable you to discover a rich array of monumental buildings and cultural centres that form part of this town's long history. We can recommend a range of wonderful local eateries from the traditional 'spit and sawdust' Spanish bars to top of the range 'gourmet' standard restauraunts. There are five major supermarkets in Benissa. Plus a multitude of Banks and local shops.
From Finca Victoria a drive along the nearest coastline will take in the following beaches. El Portet, which has a small sandy beach and transparent waters, a superb setting for a peaceful swim. Restaurants, showers, and parking are available. (15 mins) Then onto Moraira, where we find the beach of L'Ampolla at the foot of the castle. Of golden sand, it is the largest and most popular beach in the area, with an excellent range of facilities such as games, hammocks, a watch tower and many restaurants. (3 mins) Following the road towards Calpe, you will find the beaches of Platgetes, which are of easy access; they are half of golden sand and half rocky. Parking area, restaurants, showers and office of the Red Cross are available, it also has a nice promenade that communicates them. (4 mins) On the same road, before getting to Cap Blanc you will find the L'Andragó beach, a boulder beach, famous for being rather quiet. Parking area and restaurants are also available and it is one of the best areas for practising underwater sports. (4 mins) Then onto Calpe. The coastline of Calpe consists of cliffs, small rocky coves and wide sandy beaches. The main magnets for tourists are the sandy beaches of La Fossa, Arenal-Bol and La Calalga. The beaches and promenade offer a full range of services and activities including pedaloes, jet skis and wind surfing. (7 mins) From Calpe it’s a 12 min drive back home to Finca Victoria.

Booking notes
25% deposit when booking. The balance becomes due eight weeks before arrival. We charge a 200 pound (or 200 Euro) deposit to secure against breakages / loss of keys etc. This is returned at the end of your stay.
