Outside
Overlooks a communal swimming and spa pool which is surrounded by picket fencing and set in gardens adjacent to golf course. There are 4 recliner sunbed/beach chairs for guest use.
The resort offers a choice of various pool areas which can be used by guests.
Coast/Beach
There is a wide choice of magnificent safe family beaches along the calm, warm inland sea of the Mar Menor and the Med coast. The closest beach to La Torre is Los Alcazares, a 20 mins drive from La Torre with its bars, restaurants and watersports. Wide palm lined promenades spread along the coastline and are perfect for strolls or cycling. Sun beds and shades can be hired.
Nearby national park Calablanque is a must for nature lovers, with its wild coastline, rugged beauty and superb beach.
Golf
The superb 18-hole par 68 signature course, at La Torre was designed by Jack Nicklaus and makes extensive use of lakes, large bunkers and lush green fairways making it challenging but suitable for players of all levels.
Guests at La Torre are able to play on all the Polaris courses in the region accessed by free shuttle buses. Currently these are Mar Menor and El Valle. Guests may play at owners rates, and we will be happy to organise this for you by prior arrangement. There are numerous other golf opportunities in the region.
Skiing
There are skiing opportunities in the Sierra Nevada which is approximately 3 hours drive from La Torre.

Travel
The nearest airports for travelling to La Torre are Murcia (San Javier MJV) which is a 20 mins drive from the resort or Alicante (ALC) which is 55 mins drive. These are both straight forward motorway routes. We can arrange airport collection for you if required paid locally.
We recommend car hire if you are planning to use the beaches and explore the region. Competitive rates are offered
via carjet.co.uk and cars can be collected and returned to the airport.
Distances
The nearest towns of Roldan and Balsicas are a 5 minute drive from the resort.
The historic cities of Murcia and Cartegena are within 25 minute drive both offering excellent shopping and architectural and cultural heritage and leisure facilities.
Beaches are 20 mins drive. Choice of 2 water parks within 40 mins drive. Conservational zoo within 30 mins drive. Torreveja is 40 mins drive
National park Calablanque 30 mins drive, Sierra Espuna National park is 1 hours drive.
Further details
The resort is located on the Costa Calida or 'warm coast' which has a spectacular coastline with white sandy beaches and the largest saltwater lagoon in Europe, the Mar Menor, where the water is calm and shallow and warmer than the rest of the Mediterranean making it especially suitable for families and all watersports.
Murcia region enjoys an ideal climate with average temperatures ranging from 12 degrees c in winter to 25 degrees c in summer and approx 325 sunny days per year.
La Torre Resort offers a magnificent range of facilities including bank, supermarket, pharmacy, clubhouse, pro golf shop, medical centre, Internet facilities, gymnasium, hairdressing and beauty saloon, play areas, ice cream parlour and juice bar, various themed restaurants with a lively entertainment programme. The 5* Intercontinental Hotel is also scheduled to open in 2008 offering fantastic spa facilities.
There is plenty available in the region to suit all tastes, with tsafe family beaches, watersports and wide range of leisure facilities. Nearby water parks and conservational zoo make for exciting days out. Magnificent cities, shopping and active cultural programmes. Nature reserves at nearby Torrevieja, Calablabque, Sierra Espuna and Sierra Carrascoy all provide an excellent day out and walking to suit any ability.
Enjoy the huge Sunday market and take lunch at the fishing port of Cabo de Palos, which is also gateway to the marine park and offers excellent diving opportunities.
Booking notes
Non refundable deposit of 25% required at time of booking with full payment required 6 weeks before arrival. A refundable deposit of £150 will be required with final payment. This will be refunded within 7 days of your arrival home subject to no damage and cleaning fees.
