The property comprises a spacious double bedroom with twin beds, built-in wardrobe and a ceiling fan. A bathroom with a full-size bath and shower above. Lounge/diner with an American style kitchen leading to the terrace which has a garden in which stands a Nispero tree which gives dappled shade to the rear of the terrace. There is a table for outside dining with reclining chairs to use for sunbathing. The sea and castle views from the terrace are incredible - superb by day and even better in the evening! To the side is a small pine forest - recent pruning now giving full sun on the terrace from first thing in the morning till 5.30pm in the evening as of the end of April, later in full season. There is also an allocated parking space at road level. A very peaceful retreat from the stress of working life!

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds and euros based on Saturday-Saturday. Other days may be possible but there could be a surcharge to allow for a lost rental week. Ask for discount for periods in excess of 3 weeks.
Changeover day
Saturday please - if not a Saturday changeover or an odd number of days I will accommodate if at all possible, but there may be a small surcharge to cover any lost booking days. Arrival - after 5pm Departure - before 10am

Accessibility
Not really suitable for disabled or elderly as accessed from road level by steps.
Outside
There is a garden area with a Nispero tree - if you book for late April or early May there will be lots and lots of fruit - absolutely delicious. The terrace gets sun from early morning to approx 5.30pm (this is early May, a bit later in full summer), but part of the terrace has dappled shade from the tree, ideal for chilling out with a good book! There is a small barbecue for cooking on the terrace. An oval outside table, and chairs which recline to use for sunbathing. There is outside lighting for relaxing on the terrace in the evening. There is an allocated parking space for the apartment.
Coast/Beach
Approx 5 mins drive to the beautiful sandy beaches of Peniscola - very clean - were blue flag status. South beach is smaller and curved, lined with pavement cafes and restaurants - further on than south beach towards the mountains (5mins drive) are lots of pebbled coves similar to Cornwall. The port and castle are situated between the 2 beaches. North beach has a tree lined promenade - all normal beach facilities and restaurants etc., retains a very Spanish atmosphere.
Golf
Golf Panoramica - a very prestigious resort is approx 40 mins drive, situated inland in the orange groves.
Skiing
Nearest skiing is Teruel - 2 hours drive.
Special interest holidays
If you wish to improve your Spanish on a more formal basis whilst practicing with the locals, I can arrange for private tuition - just ask.
Travel
The nearest airport is Reus to the North - very easy for car hire and approx 1¼ hour drive. Valencia next to the South - also very easy airport and approx 1 hour 20 mins drive. Can also use Barcelona airport - approx 1 hour 40 mins drive. Whichever airport just get onto the Autopista A7/E15 and get off at the Peniscola exit (no. 43) and it's just about 10 mins into town.
Distances
To the north - 10 mins drive to Benicarlo and 20 mins to Vinaros, both working towns with beaches and well worth visiting. Working town with beaches and a marina. To the south Alcossebre, a pretty tourist resort with a marina. Castellon and Tarragona are both worth a visit. 40 mins drive north is the Delta del Ebro - superb almost deserted sandy beaches, rice fields, flamingos, birdwatchers paradise and lots and lots of fishing.

Booking notes
A 30% (non returnable) deposit is required in order to reserve the apartment with full payment due 45 days before the date booked. With this balance should be a returnable breakages deposit of 150 euros, if damages come to more than this amount then the balance is due immediately. When the apartment is cleaned and inspected, if there are no damages then the 150 euros (or equivalent in GBP) will be returned within 7 working days.
