Long a favorite destination, Calahonda is located close to several golf courses and has the typically lovely beaches for which the Mediterranean is famous. In Calahonda there are many restaurants, bars, supermarkets, beach bars, leisure facilities to choose from should you wish an energetic holiday or harmonious and restorative then Las Palmeras is the perfect base.
Just a couple of kilometers along the road is Puerto Cabopino, which has the reputation for being the most secluded and picturesque port on the Costa and is a popular venue for tourists who want to enjoy a good meal before taking a walk along its sandy beaches. Dine at Albert's right next to the harbor!
Marbella with its bars, restaurants, shops and beautiful Orange Square is a 20 minute drive away. A further 10 minute drive gets you to the marina and playboy haunt of Puerto Banus. This is the place to be pampered yachtside and ogle those fabulous luxury yachts while sipping a drink at one of the many open air restaurants and bars.
Families with children will enjoy Tivoli World Centre in Benalmadena (20 mins drive), the Agua Park and excellent Zoo in Fuengirola (10 mins drive), and cable car rides to the Calamorro Mountain.
