A real taste of Spain in our rural B&B with two en-suite bedrooms fitted in typical Andalucian style,Attention to detail and cleanliness is foremost in our endevours to enhance our guests stay with us, Nothing is to much trouble for us and 50% of this years guests are return customers which speaks for itself, 5 minutes from Priego de Cordoba with its castle, bars,restaurants and a Flamenco show.And 15 mins from Alcala La Real which has a fantastic castle La Mota and many museums, We are in in quiet hamlet with local bars and friendly Spanish neighbours. Lunch, dinner and picnics available, as well as local information and guides. We will taxi you to Almedinilla which has a Roman villa and museum or Sileras (no charge) but for Priego and Alcala we do have a small charge. All food where possible is from local farms, we grow some vegetable's and have what must be the happiest chickens in spain to provide your eggs. About the area
Salobrena is situated about 90 min's drive on the costa tropical and is a typical Spanish resort with white sandy beaches. Malaga is also 90 mins drive with Torremolinos, Benalmadena, Fuengirola and Marbella.
The nearest golf course is in Antequera or Granada.
The Sierra Nevada provides skiing all winter and ski hire and the ski lifts must be the most reasonably priced in Europe.
Its around 90 min drive. The Sierra Nevada is around 3400 mtr above sea level and its highest peak is Mulhacen. The ski resort is sol y nieve or Pradollano and has lots of bars and restaurants with good value menu del dia. Also a good range of shops and ski hire. In the summer its a lot cooler in the mountains and a great place to walk and take a break from the Spanish heat. (or you can just sit in our pool with a book)

This is a fantastic area for walkers, pony trekking and horse riding.
There is a go-cart track near Alcala.

The driving in this area is a pleasure,The roads are great and there is no traffic, Rush hour is when you are stuck behind a tractor!!
The B&B is situated in the Subbetica national park and is in a rural location. There are shops, bars, restaurants, banks in the nearest town of Almedinilla, where there is a swimming pool in summer. The town of Priego de Cordoba is 10 minutes drive. Loved for its Moorish baroque style, its a delightful place to stroll through its medieval streets. Do not miss Priegos Adarve balcony, The Barrio de la villa, Carnicerias reales, Medieval castle and the Gothic church of La Asuncion. There are no Macdonalds Burger king or K.F.C here so its just Spanish restaurants or cafes.
Casa Rosa offers a great place to stay. We stayed with Kevin and Mark whilst we were looking for a house to buy and they provided us with great hospitality, great breakfasts and a comfortable place to stay. We would highly recommend them. Jan and Mike Templeton from Dorset.

About the Owner
We both hail from the UK and Mark has travelled all over the world working on cruise liners mainly for the American market so the service we provide is second to none. Kevin the chef trained in Cornwall then after working in restaurant's in England on the Cornish riviera later worked abroad mainly in Mediterranean countries.

Why this location?
We Decided to live in the Subbetica national park for the beautiful scenery, and for the peace and tranquility this part of Cordoba affords. Also the location to Priego De Cordoba which is one of the prettiest towns in Andalucia. It is also in easy reach of: Cordoba, Granada, Seville and Malaga. Driving around here is a pleasure, the roads are great and hardly any traffic. Its a real taste of Spain with not many tourists so the local people very friendly and the restaurant's and bars are very reasonably priced.
What are the unique benefits of the property?
Our property is really easy to find. Located on good roads and ample parking right at the front door. We have a lovely traditional dinning room and all meals are prepared fresh by Kevin who is a qualified chef to a gourmet standard. A wide choice of 3 course meals from 10 euros with wine and can be taken at anytime. After eating here once most guests return for the food! and service! We provide. See you soon...
