Its position is ideal for those who wish to explore the real Spain, including its many fiestas, stunning views, historic culture and of course traditional Spanish cuisine. Or for those who just wish to relax by the swimming pool with a good book and a bottle of wine, the choice is yours. The nearest town of Cullar is a 5 minute drive away where you will find a weekly market several shops and plenty of restaurants and Tapas bars, where you get a tapa with each beer or glass of wine and are still free in this part of Spain.

All bedrooms have heating, fridge, tea & coffee making facilities and a cooling fan. Childs cot can be provided if required.
Accessibility
Due to La Casa Grande's location we regret we are not able to provide wheelchair access.
Outside
Outside there is a covered terrace with fan where meals can be taken, leading to a walk-in private swimming pool (10m x 5m) with ample sun loungers, tables and parasols, beyond the pool there is a bar serving cooling refreshing drinks and BBQ area, where if you feel inclined you can try your hand at the local chorizo and pincho moruno, amongst the olive trees.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beaches can be found 1 hr 15 mins drive away approximately.
Golf
Nearest golf courses are approximately 1 hr 15 mins away.
Travel
The nearest airport is Granada, 1 hr 15 mins drive away, a little further away is Almeria and Murcia approximately 1 hr 45 mins drive away. With airports at Alicante and Malaga approximately 2 hrs 30 mins drive away. Car hire is recommended but not essential as pick up and drop off from airports can be arranged.
Distances
The market town of Cullar is 5km away with the larger towns of Baza and Huescar being approximately 20 kms away.
The picturesque town of Castril famous for its annual bull run and fiestas can be found approx 30 kms away.
Hot sulphur baths and stunning lakes can be found just outside Baza.
Further details
El Margen's annual fiesta held in February is called San Blas and is famous for its giant paella cooked on Sunday in the plaza after music, dancing and fireworks on Friday and Saturday nights.
Cullar hosts one of Spain's major fiestas held in April, a hugely flamboyant procession celebrating the battles between the Moros and Christians through the ages, a spectacular celebration that can last for up to 5 days. In August there is also a festival of music held in the plaza in Cullar.
With Baza, Huescar, Castril and many other towns holding there own local annual festivals.
The local landscape surrounding La Casa Grande is ideal for painting and photography with stunning views as far as the Sierra Nevada. For those who enjoy walking there are organised walks held locally again taking in the beautiful scenery, and of course lunch and refreshments can be provided.
