The apartment has 2 double bedrooms, sitting room, dining area, separate kitchen and a large bathroom. The building is situated down a quiet side street just off the main drag between Plaza Ayuntamiento and Plaza de la Reina. The rooms are light and airy with traditional high ceilings, shuttered windows and ceramic tiled floors, so that it stays wonderfully cool throughout the hot summer months. Although it has been recently modernised, the original layout and features of the flat have been retained. Rather than air conditioning, ceiling fans have been installed which are more in keeping with the character of the building and less damaging to the environment. The homely feeling is enhanced by an eclectic mix of pictures, plants, music, books and DVDs. The kitchen is equipped to enable guests to make the most of the extraordinary central market just round the corner. For those who simply want to relax, there are plenty of places to eat out literally on the doorstep.

Changeover day
Changeover is flexible. However the weekly rates quoted are for lettings starting on a weekday, Saturday to Saturday or Sunday to Sunday bookings are charged at the weekly rate plus 10% (ie £495/ 605€).

Accommodation
Bedrooms: The main bedroom is spacious with a handmade oak bed and study area with internet for those who need to bring the office with them.
Bedroom 2 is a small internal room with a fitted double box bed big enough for adults but perfect for children.
Bathrooms: Full size bath with shower, bidet, wash basin & wc in white.
Kitchen: Full size new Bosch oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine, ample work top and storage space, well equipped with cooking utensils, sharp knives, food processor, electric beater, good sturdy pans, baking dishes etc.
Living Rooms: Small living room with lovely oriel window, comfortable seating for 4. TV, DVD player and good quality hi fi and speakers. There is a separate dining area between the sitting room and the kitchen with an expandable table seating up to 6.

Cleaning at the beginning and end of each stay, towels and linen are all included in the price.

Accessibility
The apartment is on the third floor and there is no lift, so it is not really suitable for the elderly or infirm.

Coast/Beach
The metro and regular buses to the port and city's broad sandy beach at Malvarrosa run from just round the corner. Further afield a 30 minute bus ride will get you to the lovely beaches at El Saler and La Devesa set in the Albufera national park.

Travel
There is a direct metro line between the airport and the closest metro station (5 minutes walk) at Colon. The railway station is 10 minutes walk away (or one stop on the metro).

Further details
As the apartment is so centrally located, walking in any direction will bring you to places of interest: south is the Plaza de la Ayuntamiento with its splendid main post office and beyond the modernista Estacion del Norte; west, across Calle San Vicente where every procession seems to pass, is the central market with the gothic La Lonja opposite; north is the Plaza de la Reina and the cathedral leading on to the barrio del Carmen; around the corner to the east is the exuberant palace of the ceramics museum, extravagant dress shops, and the old university building. Head off from there down the pretty street of Calle Nau to reach the little park of Glorieta and the main shops on Calle Colon.

Booking notes
Payment either in sterling by cheque (full payment within 14 days of making the reservation) or by euro (25% deposit using Paypal within 14 days and balance on arrival). There is also a security deposit of £75/100€ which is returnable in full at the end of the stay as long as everything is in order.
