It is situated on a quiet track among the olive groves in the hills above the reservoir and village of Las Casillas. For a tranquil holiday in rural Spain, cycling, walking or historic sightseeing, Casa Mariposa provides the perfect inland holiday home. Also ideal as a place to stay if you are house hunting. Accommodation is off a track out in the countryside and has steps up to the front terrace. There is no wheelchair access.

The property has a large sun terrace to the front with magnificent views. Patio furniture is provided. Numerous tracks lead into the surrounding countryside ideal for cycling/walking/rambling.

The nearest coast is about a 100 minute drive by car.

Granada Airport is 70 minutes away and Malaga Airport is 100 minutes. Flights are available from all major UK airports and also many European destinations. Car hire can be pre-booked and is advisable.

The village of Las Casillas is approximately 4 km away with 2 tapas bars, restaurant, doctors, chemist, basic shop and bakery. The local towns of Alcaudete and Martos are approximately 12km away. The historic cities of Granada and Cordoba are 1 hours drive away, Jaen is slightly closer. There is also the magnificent village of Zuheros approximately 30km away. Further details
The accommodation is ideally situated for visiting Granada, and the Alhambra Palace. The beautiful ex capital of Spain, Cordoba, is only 1 hour away by car. A beautiful city, were you can visit the Mezquita, the ancient mosque. The Sierra Nevada is approx 100 minutes away, with skiing in winter and walking in the summer.
The area is also ideal for cyclists and walkers. The Via Verde footpath & cycle way passes Las Casillas and Zuheros.
