The apartment is situated in a peaceful location overlooking the countryside of Cadiz and within easy reach of the beautiful Mediterranean Sea. The village of Jimena De La Frontera has all the facilities you would expect including a supermarket, butchers, bakers, pharmacy and excellent restaurants and bars. The town is situated in the heart of Parque Natural de los Alcornocales (natural park) where you can practice outdoor sports and hiking through beautiful routes and lush pine and cork oak forests, with amazing views. You can also visit the great artistic valued cave paintings. Besides, it enjoys a privileged location 30 minutes away from Gibraltar and Ronda mountains and it is perfectly connected by train and road.

Notes on accommodation
The apartment has direct access from the secure underground car park straight to the apartment door. The gate giving access to the pool area is lockable giving parents the option to exclude young children from this area if desired. The apartment also benefits from a PSP games station with a variety of games and DVD movies. Television with Freeview English channels is also available.
Accessibility
Direct lift access is available from the secure car parking facility to the apartment door which is perfect for wheelchair guests. This facility is subject to the lifts being operational and we would request that prior to booking that you confirm with us via email that the lifts are operational for the duration of your stay. If the lifts are not operational then there are two short staircases to negotiate to access the apartment.
Outside
The apartment is in the heart of the village with easy access to all the amenities that you would expect in a small town. From the balcony you can overlook the countryside of Cadiz. A shared pool is available together with grassed areas to while away the unstressed hours. The whole point of this place is to relax.
Coast/Beach
Both the Mediterranean and the Atlantic beaches are little more than 30-minutes drive away. The Mediterranean coast includes Sotogrande, Estepona and Marbella with plenty of restaurants, golf and nightlife. The Atlantic coast is less built up with long beaches of fine white sand. Tarifa is famous for its surfing and all other watersports.
Golf
Not withstanding an array of golf courses on the Costa del Sol we also have the following courses which are within 30 minutes of Jimena De La Frontera: San Roque, Almenara, La Canada, Valderrama, La Reserva, Sotogrande.
Travel
Gibraltar Airport, 45 minutes drive.
Malaga Airport, 1.5 hours drive.
Jerez Airport, 1.5 hours drive.
Car hire is essential but there are very reasonably priced taxis at the airports and in the village.
Access to the village can also be made via road and rail.
Booking notes
We would ask for a booking fee of 25% of your booking total to secure the dates you require. Your booking fee can be refunded up to 8 weeks prior to departure, thereafter the booking fee will not be refundable. The balance of your booking plus a refundable damages fee of £150 will need to be paid 8 weeks prior to departure. Please refer to our Rental Terms and Conditions on our website. Once a confirmed booking has been agreed we will inform you regarding arrival/departure and key collection.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We love Jimena de la Frontera because of the fantastic location and friendly atmosphere of the locals. This is traditional Spain where you can truly experience the Spanish culture. From the village you can visit either the Mediterranean or Atlantic beaches. Gibraltar is just a short drive away, which is a must just for the experience.
Unique benefits of the property
The local train, which is a 15-minute walk from the apartment, goes through some of the most fabulous countryside Spain has to offer. After the train journey you can visit Ronda with all the history the city has to offer. Our apartment has occupancy for up to 6 people but we can take parties up to 12 people because we have access to another apartment, please ask for details.
