This three storey townhouse is situated in a charming side street 200/300yds from the main street of Lanjaron, handy for shops. Spacious and airy with marble tile floors throughout, the house is cool and comfortable in the Spanish heat, with it's own furnished, large private roof terrace boasting mountain views. Well furnished in a light modern style with a well equipped kitchen and separate dining room, you can practice your Spanish shopping locally for your food and drink. If you want to have an authentic experience of Spanish town life Lanjaron is a very friendly spa town. You can enjoy Tapas (Granada is the only province where Tapas are still FREE) with your evening drinks whilst enjoying the real evening life of Spain. Elderly residents sit outside their houses or in the main street in small groups, gossiping or maybe playing chess until well after midnight. Children of all ages are also found playing in the streets until late. Spanish life charms you to relax and smile!

Changeover day
Preferred changeover day is Saturday, and letting period one week, Saturday to Saturday. Departure by 11.00 am arrival after 4.00pm. However we are willing to be flexible.

| Living Rooms: | Large ground floor living room with comfortable, light modern furniture, easy chairs, coffee table and double sofabed. CD player/radio. Large 'calor' gas heater for chilly winter nights, which can also be used to heat the bedrooms on the ground floor. |

| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Bedlinen, blankets, towels, teatowels provided. Beach towels NOT supplied. Maid will clean and make up beds for your arrival, if your stay is for two weeks the house will be cleaned etc after one week. |
Notes on accommodation
The is a large, portable 'calor' gas heater on the ground floor for heating the lounge, bedrooms and bathroom. This was a family house and there is still a childproof stairgate on the first floor.
Outside
Private large roof terrace with table & sunshade, chairs & loungers. Washing line for drying your washing. Wonderful views of the mountains.
Coast/Beach
Lanjaron is 30 minutes from the excellent beaches of the Costa Tropical, including our favourite Naturist beach at Cerro Gorda.
Golf
Golf Courses are found just outside of Granada (inland 30 minutes) and Motril (coastbound 30 minutes).
Skiing
There is skiing in the Sierra Nevada mountains accessed via Granada.
Travel
Since late 2005 there are regular cheap flights from most UK airports to Granada airport, leaving a 35 minute drive to Lanjaron. Malaga airport is approx. one & a half hours drive. Hiring a car is really necessary to make the most of the available activiies in this fascinating area. However, a local airport collection service is available and buses run daily to and from the coast, Granada and Las Alpujarras.

Granada is 30 minutes drive away.
Origiva is only a 10 minute mountain drive leading into the Alpujarra 'white' villages such as Trevelez, Campaniera, Bubion etc. etc. situated in the Sierra Nevada mountains.

Lanjaron is one of a group of white villages known as Las Alpujarras. With a resident, mainly Spanish, population of 4,000, this historic town is famous for its mineral water, which is bottled and sold all over Spain. It has many visitors to the town's health spa and 16th century castle, an old Moorish fortress that offers spectacular views of the Sierra Nevadas, the highest mountains in southern Spain. Lanjaron is well-endowed with shops, banks, restaurants,bars and open-air cafes. The town is known as the 'Gateway to the Alpujarras' a group of a dozen white villages dotted in the mountains on scenic winding roads, where you can eat local dishes and buy local crafts. Local activities include swimming,hiking,horseback riding, cycling, fishing, climbing, paragliding & canoeing. Nature lovers will be enchanted by the rich bird life, including eagles, hawks and orioles. In spring the mountains burst into colour with flowers and butterflies of every shade. Coast, culture and countryside are all at hand from this truly Spanish location, if you are interested to learn more about the real Spain, maybe you are thinking of moving out of England, this offers a chance to really live the dream.
